Meant to say this about a week ago, but what Backstrom did to shut down OMGCG and Crosby in the playoffs was incredible. Dude should get some Selke consideration but there are others that are just as good. Toews will get the nod year in and year out. Kopitar and Bergeron were great this year for sure. Tough to get that consideration with others playing as well

As for the game that just ended, dammit that sucked. So close - that shot that hit the crossbar with about 3 minutes left should have won the game for TB.

By the way, Matty, I did take your advice a few months ago and picked up a copy of Keith Jobes' book and finally got around to reading it. I'm about 2/3 through, he just got traded to the Flyers. Fantastic read. Thanks for the recommendation.

This Zapruder-esque video of the Stralman goal is making the rounds this morning. It looks like Murray may have actually made the save, but the puck went through the twine/mesh of his glove. (Though I still think the shot may have passed just out of his reach. Regardless, it went in.) If it did go through his glove, get a new glove!
