Holtby back tonight, good news for the Caps.

Hope the Wild and the Kings can even their series' tonight.

Be nice to see Jagr put one in net tonight too. He has not really done anything at all through 3 games, has me wondering if he is injured of just gassed at his age because he has only been on the ice for about 19 minutes.

I have nothing to add to the previous discussion regarding Shaw that hasn't been said, but he is an idiot.

He is also not the only idiot in the nhl who uses language like that

The heart and soul of every Flyers fan.

Or maybe one is Pats and the other is Geno's?

They have to either reach a long term deal with Kucherov or be prepared to match the offer sheet, preferably long term this offseason. Then Johnson and Palat are RFAs in 2017. Hedman is a UFA in 2017 and they'll want to lock him up for a while.

Unfortunately I don't think they'll be able to give Stamkos the max money Toronto will, and maybe he does want to go back home. He's beloved in Tampa but I can't blame him if he left.

And for the Lightning it's honestly probably best not to get locked into another Lecavalier type deal and continue to build the core of the young team. If Yzerman can make it all work and keep Stamkos I'd be ecstatic.

Shaw fined $5,000 and suspended one game. Seems appropriate.

^ That is correct.

Shaw sought out and apologized individually to a gay Blackhawks beat writer after his media session today. That says more to me than any pre-written apology statement he made. Good for him.

They're little more than tourist traps. Definitely much better places to get cheesesteaks in Philly.

Steaks unlimited is the best cheesesteak I have ever had. That is in Seaside Park NJ.

To be honest, they are still worth checking out if you are visiting from far away. I am not sure that if your goal is the best cheesesteak in Philly that Pat's and Geno's are the place to be. But if I was giving travel tips to someone from Europe, I would probably send them there for touristy reasons.

And this. I really do hope he changes. But, as that article from the beat writer says "That word needs to be eliminated from sports. I'm not naive enough to think it will. Like a lot of athletes, Shaw likely doesn't realize what he's saying when he uses it."

Kind of what I thought. I'd def want to check out the mom and pop type places instead.

They are in a fun area of Philly to check out, so if one wants to do touristy things, then certainly stop at one of them.

I'll let this thread's resident Philadelphians chime in.

i was actually just about to quote this excerpt

i liked the article, but the bolded is still an excuses to me...now clearly you have more personal insight than i do, but what does "being an athlete" have to do with social awareness skills? why is that an excuse for ignorance?

meh...the bar across the street was more fun than Pat's and Geno's

i wouldn't recommend anyone going there....you literally wait in line for 30-45 minutes (because they are tourist traps) for crappy, overpriced cheesteaks

not to mention the "charm" of getting scolded if you order incorrectly

it's so dumb
