first of all, they're 10 points out of third place in the metro which seeds them higher than 8th in the new playoff format.

second of all, i never said i have hope. they are an awful team right now and have 0 chance of making the playoffs. it's just surprising they aren't in worse shape mathematically.

Yakupov is not a poor man's Ovechkin, he's a bankrupt man's Ovechkin. He's Ovie without the upside, and worse defensively. I never understood that draft pick. Never. They should gut it. Keep RNH, maybe Hall, and then just gut the rest. Build around those two.
