Before These Crowded Streets - Special Album Survivor Edition
 

So, as you all know, we've been doing album survivors for all the studio versions over on Reddit (and I presume some of you here as well). Each round, people vote for their least favorite song, starting with the entire album trackless until it's whittled down to one song, which is then crowned the survivor.

Seeing as BTCS is so widely seen as the band's best album by the fanbase, and since the other thread has been a catch all for all the others, I figured that this particular album survivor may do best with it's own thread to discuss results and such.

Round 1 has finished, and Stay was voted out with 55 votes, 33.1% of the vote. The rest of the results were:

Yeah, after Rapunzel is gone, I guess my next vote would be for Last Stop. But the fun thing about these survivors is that once it narrows down, it really makes you look at the studio album more. For instance, I can't imagine voting out any of these songs, but when I revisit the studio album, it's a bit easier to make a choice from that angle. Granted, the best produced songs on this are clearly Spoon, Crush, Stone, and Dreaming Tree. How do I choose between those?

The final 6 are really tough. Each one is fantastic. Here's how I'd vote them out:

6. Pig -- never liked the fade out. otherwise it's a great track, just wish the studio version ended like the live versions.
5. Crush -- nearly flawless studio track. only getting voted out here because i like the other 4 songs more.
4. Last Stop -- phenomenal track. i'll always remember the first time i heard that was was both floored and blown away.
3. Stone -- again, near studio perfection. my only nitpick is that Dave's vocals imo don't have the same power they do live.
2. Dreaming Tree -- absolute studio perfection. wouldn't change a thing. just happen to like it slightly less than spoon.
1. Spoon -- again, absolute perfection. music, lyrics, vocals, tone, emotion, alanis, tim, bela, last stop reprise.... dmb and lillywhite at their absolute best. perfection.

I'm surprised because I thought it would end up outlasting Pig and/or Spoon, but The Last Stop has been eliminated
