**Deer Creek 2010**

Ahh with the fresh coating of snow on the ground all I can think about is summer! With summer comes DMB at VWMC.
Hope everyone had a great holiday season and is ready to start planning for the summer concert season.
Not much has changed around the venue since last year but in the next few weeks we will begin prepping for our 22nd concert season.
But, to the news that you all want to know. Yes DMB will be back at VWMC again this year. That is all I know ;)

What I will say is that we should hear something in the very near future.

Cheers,
--Kyle

in celebration of Kyle FINALLY starting the 2010 Deer Creek thread, i'd like to hear from everyone about your favorite all-time deer creek DMB moments....we may have done this last year, but i don't remember so i thought it'd be a cool thing to hear about from ya'll....

mine was getting Say Goodbye last year. It's gonna be tough to top that considering all the work we did harrassing Stefan to play it at DC. what a great moment.

also i enjoyed low-fiving everyone in the aisle with Sean...we were drunk, it was awesome

others?

i would say the EPICCCC fire in the campground but i was in my tent already soooo i didn't see it. i would say personally, seeing the busses fly by for the first time ever...having the best lawn experience i've ever had...meeting some amazing new people and having literally a 30-person group of Ants in the back corner camping together...the showers :eek ...and my first ever hippie-made grilled cheese that was excellent but gave me the worst heartburn ever!

My all time favorite Deer Creek moment is the same every year...when the Frankenstein looking guy with the deep voice rides around on the golf cart telling everyone to go into the venue at 5PM. HAHAHA That guy creeps me out! I can't look his direction.

Kevin, obviously Say Goodbye is on all of our lists at least a bit with all the work done. I'll be the first to state that this year it should be Typical Situation that's begged for. I've never seen it and if the creek are my first shows it will by #20 and 21 so something special has to happen.

That dude is so nice he stopped and talked to us last year. Also, I went to the Butler game on New Year's and he works security there, kind of made me feel like I should be getting to see DMB!

Hope you all have had a great year so far, this made mine even better!

Typical is an excellent suggestion....of course i've been thinking about this a lot since last year, so i have a couple thoughts....Typical, Warehouse (for Jason), BOWA, and Cry Freedom are the ones i've been debating. i'm gonna stick to the routine this year. pick 1 song, twitter 3-4 times per day for about a month prior to the show. highly unlikely that anything will come of it, but it's worth a shot considering what happened last year.......makes me sooooo excited!!!

i saw some pics, it was intense but ill be sad if they up security b/c of it. it was most assuradly out of control.

a hippie-made grilled cheese is just a grilled cheese made by a hippie! hahah...on the walk into the venue from the campground, they have vendors like they do at phish. not a lot but a good row of them. they also have them for breakfast foods in the morning inside the campground!

please tell me you all like Patron and Fat Tire :lol

i love Patron....but i think Fat Tire is extremely over rated...if you want a good amber, hit up some Bells Amber Ale...it destroys Fat Tire

that's what happens...if you are exposed to it long enough...it ends up being gross....it's really not very impressive in my opinion...i've brewed better ambers than Fat Tire

that's true! it does bring good colorado memories....but there are much better Colorado beers out there....anything from the Boulder Beer Company, or Great Divide, or Breckenridge for example

as long as you bring the Jello Shots!

I've also heard that soaking gummy bears in vodka for a day or so works nicely :-)

if you put a bottle of rum into a container of gummi worms/bears for a night or two, the rum magically disappears:evil

no one ever realizes how much alcohol is actually in each one
