Caps jokes are fun in here mainly because Barbs is so good natured about them and generally has a funny response. He is the only Caps fan I know so I enjoy the back and forth, he is a good dude I imagine I could easily have a few beers with and just chat hockey!

Hawks game is odd tonight, I know the game means absolutely nothing to Chicago but beating Anaheim to deny them winning the PAC at home tonight would be fun but the task is a bit tougher when Toews, Hossa, Keith, Seabroook and Hjarlmasson are all scratches. Also seems like Kane is getting limited ice time except on power plays. Smart move to rest guys, prevent injuries and get in gear for the first round but beating anaheim tonight would be great!

I feel like as a Caps fan I have to take hockey lightly or else I'm setting myself up for failure. It's a love/hate thing. Especially this time of year.

I know how you feel, most of my life was complete frustration in my hockey teams. Plenty of times I thought it was 'the year' for the Whalers to win or at least have a deep run nut they never got past round 2 and that was only once, then they skipped town so I sent another decade watching some awful Chicago teams. Call it nearly 30 years of following teams that never made noise in the postseason but finally in 2010 I actually got to see my team win a cup and it was amazing - I hope you get to see and feel all that one day!
