People are trashing the encore *everywhere* but I thought it was one of the coolest encores I've seen. Everyone around me knew all the words, people ran down the aisles to film it, etc. Loud singalong near us, at least. I thought that was pretty cool considering it's so rare live.

The only redeemable thing about SAWG is the full band part at the end, which they didn't even play.
Easily the worst encore in DMB history.

After 2 shows of 5 so far this tour

Steady As We Go

I suppose that means I got a new show closer too :lol

I really love the griping about it from those at home. Its entertaining. I enjoyed it. Was different and it gets a pass due to what happened. Also, "worst encore of all time"...whatever, but it deserves an asterisk by it due to the circumstances. What are the other Worst Encores of All Time's excuses?

That's insane to say when the drummer is out, IMO. Sure, Dave could have ripped a solo Two Step and the place would have exploded and beach balls everywhere, etc, but they are not the type of band to do that right now. Steady is feasible, a rare treat, and was a cool closer to see.

If you're going to grade bad encores from the band, grade bad full band ones. Like Sister > Corn Bread or something.

Steady is the only new song I heard this year from the Creek shows. Was confused leaving like everyone else, but this is correct. Other than crickets vs Carter Spoon a quarter century ago, when has he had to say “no, I can’t play” in the middle of a show? I’m sure Dave had concern and had already played a hell of a set

1st time hearing in 2022 after 13 shows:

Break for it
Walk around the Moon
Break Free
Sugar Man
Space Between
One Sweet World

Honorable mention: Lie In Our Graves. My favorite song and I do not remember hearing it at Alpine Valley in 2008. This was my second time hearing it and it was awesome.

It is great, but I take every opportunity I can to say that's other as a band song. Glad I got to see one of the last two band performances of the song.

Re: What songs have you heard for the 1st time in 2022?

There are currently only five songs that they've played on this tour that I've never seen live, only four of which I care to hear with three of them being songs I absolutely love. I hope to get at least a couple of them before we're done w/ shows for the year.

Dreaming Tree is the only song I gave a shit about hearing for the first time. So we’ll just leave it at that lol.
