Ahhhh the sweet smell of the home venue.

I'm in for this 2 nights and the Gorge this summer. What's everyone else's summer look like this year?

Creek for sure. Maybe the Raleigh/Virginia Beach run. Outside chance of Denver or Alpine. Alpine being the weekend after Creek makes for a hard week.

Deer Creek for sure. Alpine is in flux at the moment. Maybe Ohio. Gotta sit down and look at the rest.

Deer Creek my home venue after going for the first time last year. Awesome place. See y'all there! Also doing Alpine but it's a little easier not being on a friday.

Haven't been to a show since Deer Creek n1 2018 when my wife was 35 weeks pregnant at the show - now we have a 3 year old and a 1 year old, and we're finally getting back to shows. Deer Creek 2022 can't get here soon enough!

Moving back to Indy around May. Just Deer Creek this year most likely

Heading to Deer Creek for the first time this year! Coming from PA and staying at Sleepybear with a group. Any suggestions/recommendations? We’re staying in Indy Thursday night and thinking Lawn N1 and Pavilion N2.

Re: ***Official Deer Creek 2022***

The lawn at the creek gets rave reviews. Good sound and good screens for visual. Lots of cool breweries in the Indy area if that’s your thing. Downtown had several areas that are fun -Mass Ave, bottle works, fountain square etc. can do things like duckpin bowling, axe throwing, fowling(football bowling) Near the venue in fishers is an area that had brewery and restaurants, top golf close etc

Re: ***Official Deer Creek 2022***

Deer Creek is the best sounding lawn I've ever been on and that's really saying something because the West Palm Beach lawn is loud too.

There was a noticeable difference in sound volume when I taped from the lawn versus the uppers at Deer Creek - you're getting better sound in the lawn at that venue if you're front and center than in the upper seats.

The best lawn!

If you went to Deer Creek last summer (2021), what were some of the performances that stood out for you?

I thought Sugar Will on N2 was flat out fabulous. You could tell they had done some tweaking with it. There were some backing vocals from Rashawn and Buddy that really added to it and hit the spot. It might be my favorite one of the 5 times I've seen it. Prior, my fave would've been Chula Vista 2008 (Had some Roi-centric lyrics coming just a few days following his passing, check it out).

Pig segueing straight into Minarets was one of the coolest things I've seen at a show.

I love love loved the Don't Drink the Water intros in 2021 and Deer Creek's was a nice 3 minutes of some creepy atmospheric stuff.

Normally we do the Starlake/Blossom combo. We did Blossom, Starlake, and Deer Creek N2 last year. With no Starlake, we are doing Blossom (our hometown show) and returning to Deer Creek for N2 again this year. It was between DC and Alpine for us for our second show this year, but DC is closer, cheaper, and not on the 4th of July Weekend, so DC won out. Looking forward to seeing another great show!

N1 - Song debut of "The Only Thing" was fun. Crowd loved it. Got a Proudest Monkey which was somewhat of a rarity last year, and years before. Tour debut of Write a Song and Watchtower.

N2 - YNK opener was fun. I have had it open once before but it's always great. Rarer song to see open. (Only times ever!) Sugar Will is nice but I can't stand the canned horn line opening. I enjoy the song somewhat but it's rough. Sugar Will > The Stone was good. Stone (and the overall weekend) had amazing crowd support. Pig > Minarets was awesome. Encore of TSTJL > DDTW was fun.

This is a specific and possibly dumb question for anyone who has camped at the DC grounds: are any camper trailers considered "oversized vehicles"? Our van and trailer could easily fit into the designated spots, but I'm guessing any trailer makes your camping ticket $300 instead of $175 vehicle charge.

Loved getting the debut of the The Only Thing night 1
Night 2 was amazing from the start all the way until Jimi killed my mood. Especially The Stone and Pig

Agreed with the pigarets and the ddtw intros thought they were cool. Loved the ynk opener and seek up and always love stone would take it every show. First run N1 was pretty bliss as well

Deer Creek fared rather well in the 2018 album year. A tour that people appear to rage about on here.

With no Riverbend, I'm adopting Deer Creek as my home venue this year. Haven't been since 2010. Wife and I are planning for both nights. See y'all there!

By the by... we are staying in a hotel about 20 minutes or so away. Worth it to do the Premier Parking? Or nyet?

N1: Billies opener is the loudest sound I have ever heard at DMB. Felt like it melted us at the front of the lawn lol. New song debut was cool. Absolutely love Write a Song, so that was a highlight. Best part of N1 for me was the audibled Watchtower. Place was going absolutely nuts. Band got so into it that Carter missed the cue for Buddy to start his solo lol

N2: Massive fan of YNK so that opening (my first time seeing it open) was great. Sugar Will was just phenomenal. And into The Stone? A+. DDTW with the prelude was sweet. I call it the "swamp intro" when I am at the show.

Overall best 2 moments? Watchtower and Sugar Will

What I really liked was both nights had two full band encore songs.

Indiana is not a strong draw for us outside of DMB at the venue, but N2 is my wife's birthday...hmmm...

Do they still do warehouse lawn at Deer Creek? I haven't sat in the lawn at DC since 2014. I opted out of lawn seats in my warehouse request because I figured they didn't have the warehouse preferred anymore.

It's unknown for now how it will work until they announce their plans. I assume they'll do the WH section as usual. 2021 they didn't do it. But at venues with the reserved LN seating in the lawn, they let WH in there last year.

Gotcha. Well hopefully it won't matter because I'll get my pavilion seats lol

First time at DC last Summer and N2 would have been my favorite show I attended if it weren't for N1 in Denver later in the tour.

I really likes getting Jane in the E1 instead of one of the slower tunes, DC delivered on that both nights which I loved. Pigarets, The Stone, and the hot DDTW e2 were my highlights of the night. It was my first time seeing "The Stone" live and I was blown away.
