A few surprises so far for me this year so far. I know it's early but still surprise. First, Nashville. No way I saw them at the top of the Central, even this early. Montreal is another one. I thought top-4 in the division, but this good out of the gate? No. Tampa and Detroit are right where I expected them. Sens are another surprise. Not sure they keep it up for the whole year. Expected the Avs to take a step back, but how bad they were out of the gate was surprising. But even with that, and being 7 out of 7 in the Central, only 4 points back of 1st. Ducks are doing what we expect. Playoff time though? Same old Ducks and same old Bruce? That's my expectation.

Been following the Preda for a year or two now. I believe I called them being song this season. Really like that team and city!

I also, think the Ducks will win it this year lol.

Damn Krug is out now too?! My fantasy team just keeps taking hits, first Varly missed time, then Callahan went out, Foligno is out and now Krug is out too. Sucks.

Somehow I'm still in first place over the rest of you clowns ;)

I know it's an incredibly small sample size still, but Mike Green has looked A LOT better this year than in the past. I say this cautiously, but so far he's found a nice balance between actually playing effective, comprehensive defense while still maintaining a productive offensive game

Yes. And I feel like a total slut keeping him on my fantasy roster for those very reasons.

Your boy's leading the league in even strength points by a defenseman

barbogast 10-29-2014 11:07 AM

Re: The NHL Thread

And with all that said, I don't think the Caps are in a big hurry to move him just now

barbogast 10-29-2014 11:09 AM

Re: The NHL Thread

Honestly, and again I know it's only 8 games in, but I'm absolutely blown away by how good the Caps have been defensively. It's like night and day. Even the guy that wears the C has been impressing me. And you all know how I feel about him.

Horton
Foligno
Jenner
Letestu
Wiz
Calvert
Dubinsky
Bobrovsky
Anisimov

all inactive right now. you can't take that off the team and expect to win hockey games.

:lol Letestu :lol

CBJ will live on without him

Re: The NHL Thread

it's not so much his injury alone but it hurts in combination with everyone else.

they have lost every center on the team other than Johansen.

:lol i saw that, McDavid is going to be the end of the NHL.

Whoever ends up with him, award them the next 20 stanley cups and then we can continue on.

Brad Marchand/Matt Fraser-Carl Soderberg-Loui Eriksson

Daniel Paille-Gregory Campbell-Reilly Smith

The defense:

Dennis Seidenberg-Dougie Hamilton

Matt Bartkowski-Adam McQuaid

David Warsofsky-Zach Trotman

I always get nervous about hyping a prospect too much. Call it Daigleitis.
