** Official Toronto 2021 thread **
Might have to make the trip to Budweiser Pavilion, or whatever the hell they're calling it now, for the first time!
Wednesday 6/23/21 is the date. |

Walked past the venue yesterday and felt SO SAD even though there was no 2020 date scheduled. Very happy for this, especially since it's not going to coincide with a goddamn Lakeshore closure due to the Honda Indy.

Re: ** Official Toronto 2021 thread **
Happy and sad at the same time. Was thinking with missing out on Toronto this year we could do a couple road shows but nothing lined up close by for a weekend. Then there was always the hope for another D&T CMAC show. I guess I just look forward to 2021.
Hopefully the Rally doesn't get cancelled for this year either. |
Re: ** Official Toronto 2021 thread **
Don't bother, the venue is a shit hole that sounds awful due to the fact that it is a concrete shed with a metal roof. Zero thought on acoustics went into the building of the worst venue in Toronto.
Go to SPAC or anywhere else for that matter. The band also typically plays terrible sets at the venue. Quote:

That tears it, I’m going!

Re: ** Official Toronto 2021 thread **
Could be worse I guess, could be Darien Lake where it takes 3 hours to exit the parking lot.

I need a live show badly. This is my last, best hope on Earth.

You can fly to Canada. Are there many Buffalo to Toronto flights?

There is no realistic possibility this show will happen.
It is not even presently listed on the venue website: https://www.livenation.com/venue/Kov...medium=organic |

I’ll have to look forward to 2022 Arielle just pushed their Rally show out to 2022 too. Shitty year again for shows. |
Re: ** Official Toronto 2021 thread **

Actually the amphitheater never closed, its just presently illegal to go there! |
Re: ** Official Toronto 2021 thread **
So this is kind of out of left field.
Deftones and Gojira just announced a summer tour: Europe in June-July, and US and Canada in August. Seems a bit optimistic to me but who knows. https://pitchfork.com/news/deftones-...0LO71pmfUkyFvc |

The US dates were announced a while ago (not sure about international dates) when they delayed the 2020 tour. Poppy is also opening this tour. |
Re: ** Official Toronto 2021 thread **
Does seem premature; will the U.S.-Canada border even be open again by August? lol. (Although, it's not like they need Americans to be able to sell out the Toronto date most likely).

Re: ** Official Toronto 2021 thread **
I can't see any scenario in which Ontario can host any sort of mass attended event this calendar year. Remember that on voting day next year, friends.

Re: ** Official Toronto 2021 thread **
Looks like this thread will be locked by this time tomorrow.
Good news is nobody will have to wait for ticket refund! No tickets were ever sold for this no-show. |
Re: ** Official Toronto 2021 thread **
yeah, R.I.P. Toronto 2021 thread.

Re: ** Official Toronto 2021 thread **
Can we use it to vent about Doughnut Dougie instead?!
