I'm sure this will be a rockin' show but alas I'm skipping this one and doing Cville.

DC locals, do you know if they typically extend the Metro hours for events at the arena? Booked my hotel in Arlington to save money and unless there's a hard 11 PM curfew, I'm thinking I might miss the last train and need to rely on an Uber/Lyft to get me back after the show.

Nah, my concert buddy lives in the DC area so I'm just gonna do a pop-in/out from Nashville. Also going up there on 12/31 to see the Capitals/Predators game. Gotta love those Southwest flight points!

Its very rare, and unlikely for this show.

Plan on Uber.

Shouldnt be too $$$$ for an uber out to arlington.

Im rethinking skipping this one- I can walk out of work and into the show within 5 minutes.

Yeah, that's what I figured. Already priced a Lyft out the other night and it was like $10, so definitely beats the pants off staying downtown and then paying for valet parking (my room in Arlington with parking is like $111 versus it being like $250+ minimum otherwise).

Use Uber/Lyft, drive or walk. Metro doesn't care about your rock shows.

Metro goes until 11:30 Mon-Thurs...the GP/Chinatown metro super close...as long as you leave when the lights come up you should be okay. Red to blue/orange/silver depending upon where your hotel lives. If not cabs, ubers, lyfts etc. Likely some surge pricing...uber pool might be a mitigative option.

It's less than 5 miles. That's not bad at all.

best thing is to figure out a good exit from you seat (close to to 7th) and book it for metro center. No switching from there to arlington + save a possible 15 minute wait at gallery place + avoid crowds + 4 minute walk

Tempted but will probably only do Cville. Bet this one will be better than Cville N1 for some reason.

And that's only with a corporate sponsor. How it works (from what I understand) is someone sponsors the late night metro and puts up $100k (or close) in sponsorship and if the Metro makes enough money they pay the sponsor back.

Pretty much exactly what I was considering. Do you know if there a hard venue 11 PM curfew?

I wonder if they booked this show specifically to make up for Bristow. Because as I pointed out in the rumors thread it's a big norm departure for them not to be taking a day off in C'ville before the weekend.

In Fall 2012, I and quite a few others did C-ville -> Baltimore. The Baltimore setlist did not have a single full song that wasn't played in C-ville. There were a couple of days of rest before Baltimore, but I would reckon that it will be nearly all repeats for anyone doing DC->C-ville.

I don't think anyone would have expected Baltimore to have anything different from the C-ville shows.

No idea sorry, doubt it though. More likely is acts try to end so people can make the train.

Be sure to check the "last X line train leaves from this station" they have posted at each place. Just because Metro closes at 12 or whatever doesn't mean there will be a train after 1140, etc.

Metro uses corporate sponsors to stay open late. Yeah the DC metro sucks.

If they wanted to make up for the Bristow fiasco they could have done better than a Thursday night in DC.

As a word of warning - lines to get into shows at the Verizon center have been crazy long due to security. Arrive early.

I'm curious about what the grayed-out seats are on the WH seating map for Capital One Arena.

For that matter, some of the WH maps for other venues have similar grayed-out locations. Could these be their allotment of seats for each of these venues?
