They should just become a Jethro Tull cover band. Preferably before the caravan.

i feel like i have seen this thread so many times in the short amount of time i've been a member here...i think i've also made one of these...and my vote is still for an unexpected cover like tegan and sara or cro-mags something that is very different than DMB that would be very cool

Until the sets are packed full of the best DMB material, I don't want another slot in a setlist wasted on a cover song. Every time Sledgehammer or BDTH or whatever other new cover pops in a set, it's always a letdown knowing that was one less chance of getting a GREAT song from the band's catalog. Especially if the covers are surrounded by songs like If Only, You & Me, Can't Stop, etc.

Give me a set full of songs like JTR, Last Stop, Dreaming Tree, Raven, Pig, etc, THEN I won't mind a random cover thrown in.

Hear, hear! Although, LBV and Watchtower are classics.

Long Cool Woman is an awesome suggestion.

I'd love to hear solo Dave cover 4+20 by Crosby, Stills, Nash. Eminence Front would also be a pretty cool cover. An actual For What It's Worth would be sick.

Otherwise stuff like California Dreaming, San Francisco, House of the Rising Sun, Magic Carpet Ride, Eli's Coming, Hush, Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood

I am all for more originals and less covers songs,
but this year I hope they play tribute to The Grateful Dead.

not really their style for covers but Friends In Low Places from Garth Brooks is a lot of fun live. it would be interesting to see what DMB could do with it.
