Man, I am excited to finally see a full D+T show. I just hope it's not during a NBA Finals game. Ha.

This will be great. Hopefully the demand will be a tad lower than typical Dave and Tim shows and I can finally get decent seats like I usually do for Blossom shows. Liking the no pit thing as well.

The website says presale starts 1/19/17, does anyone know where this presale is? It says 2/10/17 on Livenation.

Re: *** Official Blossom D&T 2017 ***

Warehouse Presale is 1/19 on the WH site. I haven't seen anything regarding a citi presale or any other kind....yet.

blumathu 01-18-2017 10:47 AM

Re: *** Official Blossom D&T 2017 ***

Yeah 1/19 is the day the warehouse opens up for ticket requests. There won't be anything else until after warehouse confirms are posted.

You could drive up to Cleveland explore downtown, there is some fun stuff to do there. It's about 40 minutes north of Cuyahoga Falls.

I personally don't like it. You're so far away. It is nice to sit out there on a nice summer evening, but as far as the show, I want to be closer.

No, Blossom has a nice lawn if it isn't raining.

Great venue.

Re: *** Official Blossom D&T 2017 ***

The lawn view/sound on a full band show is just fine. The biggest issue is the drunken idiots that usually surround you. Furthermore, being an acoustic show this year, the sound may not carry as well to the lawn. Although, this venue was designed for the Cleveland orchestra, so usually sound/acoustics are solid and maybe they will be turned up louder/adjusted better knowing that they don't need to set up acoustic and tear down for full band. I haven't sat lawn at Blossom for some time, so I'm not sure how the sound was during the 2 set years.

Either way, I'm looking forward to this show and have my requests in!

yes, you can't hear shit when it's full band, so this will be impossible to hear anything

yea, it's nice in that it's grass

terrible for sound quality though

no it isn't...the worst of any venue i've been to

on the contrary, Blossom has by far the best pavilion

I can't agree with you there....matter of opinion I guess. Been going there my entire life, the sound has never been an issue for me in the lawn. I could see if you were standing at the very top of the hill how it may be a problem, but if you stake out a decent spot, it's not too bad. Rather sit lawn than in the 40's sections of the pavilion.

As far as the pavilion goes, the sides are terrible, but the centered sections are wonderful.

it's not a matter of opinion though, it's fact

the pavilion was specifically built for symphonic sound. any seat under the roof is automatically better than any section of the lawn

other amphitheaters that don't have the space ship roof like Blossom have better sounding lawns but worse sounding pavilions

it's feast or famine at Blossom...and that's not a knock on the venue, i love Blossom, been going every year for 10-12 years now. But it's the worst lawn for sound i've ever been to

Agree to disagree....personal preference. I've had more pleasant experiences in the Blossom lawn than I have had in other laws across the country.

yea that's fine, not really what i'm talking about though

pleasant experiences and how sound works are different things

Get what your saying, but sound is part of the experience for me and it has never been SO BAD at Blossom that I left the show thinking it has been any worse than any other venue I have been to. So again, agree to disagree.

that's good, i envy you in a way

i wish i could pay 1/2 the price for a lawn ticket and not notice a difference. i've been to too many venues at this point to not notice though

no i'm not

i said that i love Blossom and i've been going there for over a decade

beautiful venue, great crowds, usually good shows. i love Blossom

but the fact remains that it's a terrible lawn for sound quality. if others don't notice/don't care, more power to them. but facts are facts. that's all.

somuchtoplay 01-19-2017 10:29 AM

Re: *** Official Blossom D&T 2017 ***

I'm not saying that the lawn is so good that it is worth saving the money and not sitting under the roof...that is not an apples to apples comparison. I'm just saying for the times when I've been with a group of people or seeing an act I'm not as into, the lawn hasn't been THAT bad. Comparing Blossom's lawn to the lawn at other venues I've been to, it hasn't been a material enough difference for me to think that any other lawn blows Blossom's away. The lawn is still the lawn....I'm not trying to oversell it.

i hear you

if i end up on the lawn for some reason (i won't ;) but hypothetically) i'm not going to bitch and moan and pout for 3 hours, i'm still going to have fun.

but i will 100% notice the difference in sound quality

especially because Blossom and Starlake are my 2 most attended venues, and Starlake's lawn blows Blossom out of the water for sound. Especially since they put the new sound system in at Starlake

But Blossom's pavilion blows Starlake out of the water. it's just the way it is.
