The other night was Center Ice preview. If it's still going on, watching that Rangers and Leafs game.

I'm a fan on twitter and message boards and I know more than Ken Holland!!!! The Wings needed a veteran center if they want to push for the playoffs. Your 4 centers the other night, the oldest was Helm at 27 and now he's out. The same fans bitching, would be if they didn't make a move too. Some fans were all crazy because this prospect was highly rated. But now leaking out he was probably bolting to Sweden if he wasn't traded, since he wasn't gonna make the team next year. So Wings get something for a guy who was probably going to leave.

stop being reasonable Tim.
If you're not complaining about your favorite team that has made the playoffs every year since 32 B.C. what are you doing?

This is why I hate social media. This website is the only social media I have anymore. People are just idiots.

"It never seems like we're an anointed team on trade deadline day, and I'm fine with that" - Peter Chiarelli

God that is fucking frustrating to hear from your GM when you're in the thick of a playoff run and another contender for the cup.

Marty and my son have a lot in common.

Yeah I TRY not to see replies to some media people but sometimes you see it and it makes my head want to explode. Then I see people saying how come Legwand is worth more than Vanek. To the Wings who needed a center, he was. Vanek is a better player but not what the Wings needed. I'm glad I'm rational. If I was like some of the people I'd be balder than I'm already becoming.

How is MSL playing in this game tonight?

that trade must have been done a lot earlier than it was announced.

Doesn't take long to fly from FL to NY.

But Tampa plays at home tomorrow...which would mean they flew home after the game last night.

i know, I'm still somewhat impressed he got there and ready to play in 6 hours.

Toronto with a 2-0 lead in the 3rd period just gave up two shorties on the same PP to the Rangers :lol

Yeah they were saying in TSN that he had to go basically straight to the airport.

Hemsky was saying he had to basically go home long enough to get his suit, then hop in the car and drive from Edmonton to Calgary, where the Sens are playing tonight.

One of my favorites is still when Foote got traded back to the Avs and arrived after the game had started. The looks on the faces of the team as he came out onto the bench mid game was awesome.

Re: The NHL 2013-14 Thread

Same story different year. Rangers trade for scoring and still can't score. Box score sums it up. Sather will never learn that buying stars does not equal goals. Hope MSL works out, but won't be surprised if the rangers games are still low scoring like tonight....

Man, Alexander Ovechkin is so overrated. It's laughable that a few seasons ago people were trying to figure out whether he or Crosby were the better player.

The correct answer, of course, is 19! 19! 19! 19! 19! 19! 19! 19! 19!
