Everybody covering the Pens sounds convinced that this Goc aquisition is to set up move to trade for Kesler. Goc makes Sutter much more expendable now. Regardless, it doesn't seem like Shero is done making moves one way or another.

Opposite of Wiz. Plays with a lot of poise in his own zone. Not very big or overly physical, but smart. Doesn't make a lot of mistakes and will always play hard.

Downside, besides being dependable he's not overly talented. Will not provide offense.

You'll like him on probably the 3rd pair (maaaaybe 2nd) and PK. Actually... would probably be a great ying to Wiz's yang.

EDIT: 5th rounder for him? No brainer pickup for a team stocking up with dependable vets for a playoff run .

I like the sound of that, he can at least help eat some minutes before Tyutin and Murray get healthy, they only gave up a 5th round pick.

I don't need offense from the D, I need someone that doesn't nearly send me into cardiac arrest every time they touch the puck :lol

He's one of those guys most people wouldn't even notice when he's out there. And that's kinda what you want.
