Good game today watching Ovie vs Sid, certainly did not disappoint speaking objectively. Beats the super bowl for me! :lol

Ovie just keeps climbing the career goals ladder, amazing to watch.

Anyone think Dominik Kubalik has worked himself into the Calder discussion, if he keeps producing the vote may be very tight - he leads all rookies by 5 goals, 3rd in points (only 6 behind Quinn Hughes), noy many assists but he is not a setup guy but if he keeps putting pucks in the net he'd be tough to discount.

I’m curious as to why. I know you hate the Caps, is it just that? It seems that virtually everyone is on board with Ovie breaking the record, including Gretzky. So why don’t you want to see it?

I don’t think it’ll fully sink in just how extraordinary he is and has been until he’s gone. But I also think that’s ok. I’ve been very lucky to basically spend my entire adulthood so far with Ovie as our guy. I don’t think one can really appreciate that fully until it’s not there anymore. Ya know?

It is unreal, like nothing I have ever seen in hockey. His consistent production and sheer number of goals have just been a joy to watch. I grew up in the prime of Gretzky, watched guys like Lemieux and Hull as much as possible but the NHL was nowhere near as prominent of the news (social media didn't even exist) so I rarely saw hockey highlights except for some once a week weekend show - that said seeing literally every damn goal Ovechkin scores in great to watch. The sick thing is he seems to just keep getting better and adds more tools as he ages.

Not even close. Wayne Simmonds was a far superior player than Richards ever was. Richards was a dope head who played above his role because the Flyers' only real offensive threat was his drug buddy.
