Carolina played a perfect game. I doubt they can replicate it. The caps have some issues to address for sure but it’s not the end of the world st all

I honestly don't know about that. If you got every hockey fan to answer I could easily see it going either way. Obviously we'd never know for sure, and I would wager fighting will always be a part of the game.

I do know numbers will continue to decline dramatically though. They aren't being tolerated in the slightest in the biggest feeder league to the pros at this point (CHL). This will form new habits as these kids make it to the pros.

I think it has gone down notably as well. Yes, there are still fights but there are fat less than I recall in the 1980's and 1990's when guys like Probert, Domi, Kocer, McSorley, Grimson,etc, etc were having full out brawls that the refs wouldn't even go nar let alone try to break up. Now it is usually a few idiots on each team throwing generally half-hearted punches but the refs and their team-mates usually break it up fairly quickly and full fledged brawls involving numerous players do not happen anywhere near as frequently as they used to.
