Biggest difference on this one is Hertl was not the pick carrier. No way to brace for the hit as there was no reasonable expectation for him to get hit.

They played damn good up until the third period. Sucks but at least the Devils lost because outside of that every team I wanted to win tonight lost.

They just need to keep a solid 60 mins. Coming out too fast can expend all their energy. I think they will make it a longer series than most expected though.

Orpik straight up can no longer hang in this league. We all knew that contract was gonna hurt once it got to this point, and now here it is. Unfortunately for us Trotz drools over the experienced veteran idea, so we’re likely stuck with it. But icing one less d man would be more effective than icing Brooks Orpik
