I am trying not to take this attitude with the Rangers being that we are still in the first 10 games of the season. That said, the MET is such a strong division that I would have to think that any longer of a slide would put them is serious risk of killing the season before it ever really started.

Both teams need to string some wins together.

It is early and of course you can get on a run but so many teams are good now. I mean I look at my team who had a nice schedule to start the season, although 4 of the 5 were on the road, and are 4-1. At 4-1 they are still only 3rd in the Atlantic. These days you need a lot of help if you start off slow because too many teams are good.

Oil could win 10 in a row in November, who knows. Look at the BJs last year. Certainly a disappointing start, but there's so freaking much hockey left.

I disagree, lets say they end up 5-10 after their first 15. That puts them at 10 points. That means they need to get 80 (+) points over the next 67 games. That would be a tough hill to climb.

I get it. If they don't straighten their issues out soon, they could find themselves in that 5-10 span and will need to go on a hell of a run to make up for it and you don't want to have to do that. Plus you know they are better than this. Positive side is the Pacific isn't that good. I can't imagine Vegas keeps it up so then you really only have the Ducks and the Flames ahead of you because I don't think Vancouver is very good either.

I have to say this is what I love about the NHL. Dallas, EDM, MIN, MON, we all expected to be better than they have been so far. Makes regular season games mean a bit more.

Flyers had a ten game winning streak last year and missed the playoffs. You have the best player in the league and a mediocre record after four games.

This is what worries me about the Rangers. The MET is very good and boosts the Stanley Cup winner the past two seasons and President Trophy winner the past 3 seasons. Falling too far behind early could result in season ending failure withing the first 20 games in the MET.

Also, I forgot the Flyers won 10 in a row last year and missed the show. Crazyness

That's the Wings team I know. Start off well and not score, the other team scores with fewer shots and take a lead and then the Wings have to come back but lose a close game. That's last season in a nutshell. Not getting any easier this week. Last night and Wednesday could have been huge to get ahead of teams in your division.
