Yeah I don't think the head is the main issue right now. I mean it could be but his left leg bent in half when he was hit.

Just jumping in. I don't think Niskanen had any intent but I agree with the general consensus that it has to be called. Not sure if a game misconduct is a bit excessive though.

Seems like it's been a pretty eventful game

Honestly the more I look at it the more I tend to agree with you

Niskanen takes a pretty good shot there. And it actually looks like when Ovie caught him in the back of the head on the way through it was much worse than I realized the first time I watched it.

Tough second half of the period for Kuznetsov there. Two penalties both of which were pretty clear calls and then the semi whiff on the net to allow Fleury a chance to make a save. It was a tough puck to handle but that's a finishable play.

I think Malkin's penalty was deserved

Also, it's not like the Caps plan to actually do anything with those PPs apparently

Malkin's should have been called Checking From Behind. But I believe that needs to be called as a major penalty.

After the miss back Backstrom and the interference on Ovechkin, I was like 'yup Caps are going to blow this some how'. Teams got some sort of curse man. Going to take years to break this curse
