What an incredible play by Victor Hedman on the GWG last night. Great patience. Impeccable pass. And then of course the finish from Johnson. But a really outstanding play by Hedman.

Zero chance the Rangers come back from 3-1 two years in a row. Caps are moving on. I'm already breaking out the baseball cap and planning trips with the money I was going to spend on playoff tickets once finals were over haha

If it gets to a game 7, we're in trouble for sure. I fully expect the Rangers to come out on all cylinders in Game 5 at MSG though, so I kind of expect to lose that one. If we're gonna win this series, I think we have to do it on home ice in Game 6. Hope the boys prove me wrong though.

New rule: if you coach your team to a presidents trophy win you and the GM immediately get fired and rebuilding the team starts.

Hey Guys,

I'm ISO an old Canadian friend of mine. Goes by the name Rick Nash; He was last seen scoring goals in March. If anyone has any information on his whereabouts, please PM me.

Nash is not the problem. The Rangers system is the problem. Put Nash on basically any other team and he would score a lot in the playoffs. This Nash blaming is Gaborik all over again. Gabby had 14 goals last year in the playoffs....

Have just been in Calgary for work (hence my silence here the past couple days), and it's been a blast to be here and a part of the atmosphere. Hung out with some friends at a downtown bar and watched the game Tuesday night and then experienced the post-game Red Mile antics.

It was both awesome and refreshing to see how much this city loves the Flames. Everyone I talked to has the attitude of win or lose, they're just proud. It was impossible to not get caught up in the hype just being here. Bob Hartley is the Jesus of Calgary right now. Everyone absolutely loves him.

The sad (and encouraging) thing is Nash is working his ass off. Watching the game last night, he continued to be a strong presence defensively. He's working hard, but you can tell his confidence is low and he's squeezing that stick a little too tightly when he enters the offensive zone.

I remember back in the '90's, the Caps were up on the Pens 3-1 on three separate occasions. The Caps lost two of those three. :lol

And they're playing the Rangers now. The Rangers haven't come back from down 3-1 in a conference semifinal since all the way back in last year.

To be frank, I don't think he's the problem at all. As fonz said, he's doing all the little things right. Just feel bad the guy can't get the light to go off.

Nice, good times. Admit it though, you were really there to see us elect a bunch of socialists after 44 years of the same conservatives in power...
It pains me a bit living in the other city, but I really enjoy watching the flames right now.

Chris Hansen (not that one) sounds like he is open to the idea of an NHL team coming to his arena in Seattle before an NBA team. Not at all surprised that with the talk of one in the suburbs, he didn't want to lose out on getting his arena.

Oh man, I got filled in on all the election stuff while I was here. Crazy. Good thing there was kind of a big hockey game that same night to placate the masses.

I was thinking of reaching out to you, but if I recall you're kind of a ways away from Calgary?

Yeah. You can tell his confidence is just not there. He's not driving the net as forcefully as he usually is, he's taking shots from weird angles or shooting too soon. I think once he gets that first one he'll start to loosen up.

But like you're saying, his game is still on in other areas. He's arguably been their best defensive forward. He's making great plays in his own end. Unfortunately, that's not all he gets paid to do!

I just got back from the supermarket and I saw Rick Nash on a milk carton.

Finish them off Caps. And then it's Let's Go Lightning!!!! :D

Ovechkin, Green, and Laich, among others are well aware of the Caps playoffs history. Guys like Orpick and Brouwer have been there before and know what it takes.

I don't expect New York to go quietly but I also don't expect the Capitals to get off track.

The bitter part of me is rooting for a Ducks vs. Lightning Finals so the league can be reminded of how shitty the ratings for hockey can get.

I remember watching the Ducks vs. Sens finals......oh wait no I don't.

Ducks/TBL I'd be more interested in watching than I was for Sens/Ducks. I was still bitter about having that fucking series in the Wings hands and losing it. But also the Sens didn't interest me and I expected it to be short....I was right.

BUT yeah ratings would blow I think. Maybe I'd be wrong but across the US no one would care and in those particular markets, there isn't enough interest to off-set it.
