If we can stay out of the penalty box, Caps are looking A-OK in my book.

Absolutely, but followed closely by baseball and March Madness. Still prefer the series vs single games any day.

NHL
CB
MLB

NFL

BCS
NBA

Bryz says he has "no confidence" right now, the lowest his confidence has been in his entire career.

That has to feel re-assuring considering you just signed him for what, $5.7m a year?

Yeah, so that was weird. Looks like the goalie problems in Philly never end.

Only 4 points out but a random stat

@TSNResearch: BOS is last place in the Conf. First defending SC Champ to be in last place in expansion era (1967-68) after games concluded Oct 27th.

i was flipping between the oilers(!) caps game and the world series game last night. man, baseball legitimately sucks.

nice little win by the oilers last night, nice to have a hot goalie to make up for the inconsistencies of the young guys.

You must be the only one to come to that conclusion after that game last night.

Going back to some of the soundbites from last night's Flyers game. Here are some Kimmo Timonen quotes from last night:

"I felt like we were still playing the same game as we played in Montreal the last two periods... we should have learned and we didn't." He also said the team is lacking a desire to play defense: "It's a learning process but still playing defense is more desire and execution." He also refused to blame goalie Ilya Bryzgalov, who was blaming himself mercilessly last night.

I don't think I have ever witnessed a player so upset with himself than Bryzgalov last night. Thankfully, a couple of the beat guys reported he was in a great mood today and up to practice with a little swag in his step. Jeff Reese, the goalie coach, said he thinks Bryz is back in the right frame of mind. We'll find out tomorrow night vs Carolina.

It's like game 10. I don't care how he's feeling right now. I care how he's feeling in April.

That is just all sorts of awesome.

Kudos to Marchand for allowing Subban to compose himself after that first wild "haymaker". Marchand could've been all over him at that point, but let him get back up and square off like a man.

The question is would Subban have done the same? My guess is no.

Definitely not. And that's what sets him apart from other guys as far as respect goes.

the fuck? Carcillo is suspended the next 2 games, for a hit that had no injury and no penalty. This is when Shanahan is starting to get out of hand. This is a little ridiculous.
