dude, shootouts are so dumb. no way to determine an internet argument, you two should just keep explaining it to each other and see who comes out on top, regardless how long it takes.

I know it was a joke...it was just a bad joke :lol and I mean...you are a Cubs fan so... :lol J/K...kind of. But really it's just late and I have had a bit of box wine.

Well one involves NHL players at least competing in a glorified skills competition.

The others would be cool though. I think Darling could take out Rinne in the hot dog thing, but I enjoy seeing Kane taking video game shots.

I'd pay to watch that hot dog eating contest for sure.

It's not QUITE the same. It's certainly a skills competition, but it'd be closer to 21 than it would be a dunk contest.

Blackhawks are the worst. Forrealz.

Really feel for the Preds. No Fisher. No Weber and still should have won in regulation.

As long as you understand what I was saying :lol

I felt like you took it seriously and that's why you kept telling me why it sucked.

Just thank god that game is over. Nothing is more exhausting to watch then OT hockey. This current Blackhawks regime has probably taken years off my life. I feel like they have multiple games go to OT every series.

Need less Seabs and more Rozsival.

I will say this, most "pests" or "agitators" are those guys that you love to have on your team and hate to play against them. Kesler, Shaw, Marchand, etc.

Mike Ribeiro is just a fucking asshole. I'd never want that guy anywhere near a team I root for.

Eh fell asleep before the end of the game. Looks like a good thing too. Fuck this. Chicago will win the series now. Waste of a fucking season and didn't even get to play at full strength. Can't say I didn't see it coming with the quality of play to close out the season. Now my only hope is that whoever Chicago plays in the 2nd round, whether it be St. Louis or Minnesota, I hope that both teams find a way to lose.

Unnecessary 8:30pm starts (why does this happen when its not a west coast game, is it strictly TV scheduling?) are bad enough, but add in the usual Hawks OT every other game, and the lateness becomes absurd..

Obviously it could happen but I really don't see Nashville stringing together 3 in a row. The Hawks are too talented for that at this point in the season. May have Fisher back by Game 5 but I don't think Weber will be ready and he's so key. I mean anything could happen, but I'm just trying to be as realistic as I can be.

Yeah I hear ya. Hard to be positive at this point I would guess

Fine line between realistic and pessimistic :lol

It is a fine line. I think pessimism at this point is realism when it comes to the Preds chances. We'll see though. I'll just drink a little more than usual this year.

All for the TV. Now not sure why one of the two East games don't start at 7:30 like they did last night.

Yeah it is what it is. You, the team or any team or fans can't do anything about it but when you lose you always will wonder.

Re: The NHL Thread

Preds are most likely done. NY came back from 3-1 last year, but it is so hard to do...and we were not playing Chicago.

I like the Caps to win that series now. So close to call though.

Hopefully the Flames close out the Canucks. Could make for an interesting round two with the Ducks.
