Who is the backup? Holtby played like 95 games.

Right. That's the guy he said might . Didn't want to butcher his name . Knew it wasn't Peters. If have been smiling for that.

Very happy I work 8-430 M-F. I'd be going nuts if I had to work during a playoff game.

Still not convinced Holtby won't play. But good lord. We're so incredibly fucked.

Re: The NHL Thread

Yeah, they might have just called up Grubauer as a precaution, just in case.

I'm sure Holtby will do everything he can - even playing sick - to be in net tonight. It'll take something pretty serious to keep him off. It's the NHL playoffs, baby.

Re: The NHL Thread

Being sick as a goalie has to be the worst. You don't get the breaks that everyone else does.

barbogast 04-17-2015 12:13 PM

Re: The NHL Thread

The word is that Grubauer is just precautionary. At this time. Yikes. I hate this time of year.

I actually want the playoffs to be over soon cause I want the Babcock speculation to end.

holtby has a stomach bug with a bad case of the runs and everything, including the puck, is going right through him.

Babcock will look great behind an orange bench.

God I hope not. I like Mike Babcock. I'd like to keep it that way.

Let me rephrase that. I want time to speed up to whenever the Wings are done (round 1 - winning it all) so I can know what is happening with Babcock.

that's dumb. There's a lot of question marks regarding the Sabres. He wants a team with a solid core already.

So yeah, he's coming to Philly.

And so is Connor McDavid.

He saw it up close. Like Claude Lemieux saw the ice up close when McCarty pummeled the shit out of him.

Rebecca De Mornay 04-17-2015 12:26 PM

Re: The NHL Thread

honestly though.

hard to find teams in the east with younger/stronger cores than CBJ and the sabres.

CBJ already has a coach better than babcock so i doubt he goes there. Sabres have Kane McDavid/Eichel and Reinhart plus a lot more draft picks.

TMoore4075 04-17-2015 12:28 PM

Re: The NHL Thread

Philly has too much work to get done with their cap issues. Easier to mold a young team with no cap issues. I said like a week ago, Detroit, Pitt or Sabres would be the 3 teams I see.
