I'm rooting for Calgary just cause they lost Giordano. I thought they were done when that happened, so to get into the playoffs for them would be huge. Also rooting for the Jets cause...that city would go insane.

I am honestly rooting for all the Canadian teams (except the Habs because fuck them). I want a Calgary/Vancouver first round!

Anyway, I am looking forward to a rematch with the Kings tonight....but even more I am looking forward to a chance at seeing what Ottawa really has on Thursday!

Take a look at the Panthers remaining schedule though. They have games against the Bruins (twice) and the Sens.

I know they're the long shot at this point, but I certainly wouldn't count them out yet.

Call me crazy, but I'm actually dying for a Kings/Hawks WCF rematch.

biggest home and home of the season coming up this week between the sabres and coyotes.

basically the Eichel cup.

I just realized.

Kyle Chipchura is the 1st line center for the Coyotes.

That's... really something.

Both games will end 1-0 Sabres in the shootout, with Mike Weber accidentally scoring the GWG in both games.

The game on Thursday at FNC, the Sabres fans in attendance will throw hard objects at him as he leaves the ice.

On Monday, it comes down to Weber (the 18th shooter) again, and he tries to tap the puck well wide of the net, but Mike Smith leaps out and miraculously hooks the puck into the net, again giving Buffalo the "victory".

That pass by Winnik, along with the rest of his play tonight, is precisely why I was bummed when the Avs traded him.

Re: The NHL Thread

This race in the Central is just way too close. Getting ridiculous at this point. If StL loses, and Nashville loses....it's just absurd.

As I say that, St Louis and Nashville score.

Dumb.

Now watching the FLA game, and it hit me that Jagr is older than the COMBINED age of his linemates, Barkov and Huberdeau.

Almost time for the annual avatar change (back) to the Blue Jays. If the Oilers ever figure out how to make the playoffs (lolz) the hockey avatar can last a little longer.

Really looking forward to the playoffs though, there are going to be some great matchups!

I think I came in and admitted my mistake a few weeks back. He has been great, but the team seemed to pull their heads out of their asses too. Maybe getting consistent goaltending helped that, i dunno.

Wings who can't play well are starting to get injuries. No Kronwall last night, lose Cole in game and still without Datsyuk.

Hawks and Blues with two games in hand on the Preds is huge. Plus, we have a couple more tilts with STL. Gonna be an insane finish.

It would have been huge if they both didn't come back and win last night. Now it's just status quo. Even if the Hawks win both those games in hand they have, they still are in 3rd in the division.

Re: The NHL Thread

Not the worst news in the world for the Wings. Kronner is day to day they just kept him out to be safe and Cole will miss 3 games with an "upper-body injury" which is his neck by the looks of last night. Pavel better be back tomorrow though. Sucks I won't be able to see Cole on Saturday. He was starting to find his spot with the Wings.

I would enjoy it as well if we come out on top. If we blow 5 2 goal leads against them again though I will lose it.

We'll finish ahead of Nashville. I think we'll be tied with them come Saturday afternoon. We obviously take care of business tonight and Friday, but they have road games in Tampa and DC. We got a game with Buffalo still and then hopefully pull off a split with the Blues. The rest is a toss up. Winnipeg and Varlamov have had our number all season so those are some iffy games. I just don't see Nashville beating us out.

Enjoy! Hoping to see Vermette tally his first goal as a Hawk. He's been playing good hockey, just hasn't put the puck in the net yet.
