@lakingsinsider: The #LAKings are 70-7 in their 77 combined games of Game 7 experience, per @LAKingsPR

Shhh. The only thing that matters is recent Hawk and Kings records.

Almost no TVs down here in New Orleans had the Hawks game. It was a joke. I had to sweet talk this bartender chick, who turned out to be really cool, into changing a fucking woman's softball game to hockey.

Everything else was the Heat winning by 30+. Joke.

I believe it's called Jimanis. It's a Chicago bar in NOLA. When I was there that's how I watched games. Screw LA

bonzo48280 05-31-2014 03:16 AM

It's in the French quarter

@MarkLazerus
Kings are 6-0 in elimination games in 2014. #Blackhawks are 5-0 in elimination games since 2013. SOMETHING'S GOTTA GIVE. (dramatic sting)

Re: The NHL Thread

This has honestly been the best playoffs that I can remember. Left and right it's just drama and heart attacks. This LA/Chi series has been the crowning jewel. Best series of hockey I can remember.

bonzo48280 05-31-2014 04:47 AM

How are the kings 6-0 in elimination games if they've lost the last 2? Am I missing something? Does that only mean elimination amongst yourself?

Right, games in which they could be eliminated. 4-0 against the Sharks, 2-0 against the Ducks.

Elimination games and close out games are different. One day people will learn this

Ya know what is more fun than rooting for the Blackhawks in a bar full of Kings fans in California? The death threats you get after celebrating a victory.

Ridiculous amount of Ranger gear here up at SPAC last night. Bunch of of bandwagoners. And unbeknownst to me at the time, my funny wife made a fb post during the break before the encore "that Sal's ears are bleeding due to the loud let's go Rangers chant going on". Lol

It is one of the best series in recent memory, yes. Can't believe the quality of hockey we are getting from these two teams. Unbelievable.

Loving Drew Doughty more and more, as I've said over the course of the season.

I cant remember a stretch like this that has been more exciting in sports for me. To think this Rangers team was dead and buried three weeks ago going into Pitt for game 5 after being booed off their home ice. I was at the game on Thurs. It was just awesome. Walking out of there high fiving everyone, chanting "we want the cup". I was only 13 in '94 so while I enjoyed it, its nothing compared to this. Ive watched "the save" no less then 20 times in the last 24 hours and every time my jaw hits the floor. Theyre going to need Hank to be a brick wall to beat either of these teams. Im hoping for 5 OTs on Sunday.

Related note, the morning of Pitt Game 5, my second child was born. They have been pretty much money since she came into this world. I told my wife that if the Rangers win the cup, we might have to change her name to Hank. While thats cruel to a girl, what decent guy isnt going to respect why her name is "Hank" in 15 years? The attached pic is us getting ready for game 1 last week.

Also want to thank the NHL schedule makers for factoring PNC into their schedule making. I had a mini panic attack thinking I was going to have to make a choice between DMB and going to a Finals game.

Hey Fraud, take a break from basking in the win and add all the shows DMB ever played to your stats.

That will bring for the major lulz over in the DMB forum

Any chance NBC will change their mind and broadcast game 7? On a plane flying cross country and going to miss entire game....not happy

Holy hell last night was awesome. Was just about to order my Overtime beer when Kane and his beautiful mullet shot that glorious wrister.

This series has been so insane.

I'm both really excited and really nervous for game 7. With these teams records the outcome is unpredictable. You'd think us Kings fans would be used to game 7's by now.

Gotta root for the Kings, they'll let me party with the Cup.

Honestly, it'll be hard as I'm already having a panic attack thinking of it.
