Yeah, you have to think he'll be on a lot of radars, even before Vanek. I'd take him on my team any day, just perhaps not at the cash he'll be looking for. I heard he dug his time in Tampa and will definitely consider staying. They are building a solid core, especially with the emergence of their rooks and Victor Hedman finally growing into his game. Not to mention Bishop and that young captain they have.

And no state taxes. I'd like to stay there too. Get good money, on a good team, and great weather.

trade for Matt Cooke and it's set.

It would be an overpay as usual for the Flyers, but if they could somehow get Hartnell or Lecavilier moved and signed Callahan, I'd be OK with that.

I know it's not happening.

And yes, I know, defense is the priority....

Edit: I also agree with Matt that Tampa gets it done to keep him.

He's in the mold of their GM.

Oooh good idea! Maybe an Ott acquisition as well. 3rd line of Cooke, Avery, and Ott? Coached by Keenan and Torts? How could this NOT work?!

But in all seriousness, Pittsburgh needs to make a big move or two (at least Letang, maybe Fleury if the right deal can be made) and a couple tweeks here and there. No need to blow the whole house up yet.

I got a job today!! :bounce

I already set priorities when asked what I can work this week. She wanted me to come in friday. I said "sorry, I'm hopefully going to a hockey game". She understood, I think this'll work out well.

Congrats, Sarah!

Glad you found a place that knows what's really important.

Today is taking forever, I just want it to be 7 already.

Congrats! Sounds like your boss is as cool as mine. He's a huge hockey fan so he lets me skip out early if I'm going to a game haha.

It just hit me that the Rangers have reached the Conference Finals 2 of the last 3 seasons. Obviously that's not a Cup - as some would point out here - but there's only a small pool of teams that have managed to do that. Not bad for an organization we are regularly bashing.

This is their best team of any of those years. Boston/Montreal will give us a really tough series. Then we'll worry about the west.

I've always liked the Rangers and will definitely be rooting for them if Montreal wins tonight, but I just don't see any team but Boston left that would give a western team a run for their money. Even then I'm not sure.

So sick of these young defenseman not picking guys up. That goal should never happen.

rickyh24 05-14-2014 04:23 PM

Awful call too. How do they not see that cross check?

rickyh24 05-14-2014 04:24 PM

Nice to see chara is out there drunk too.

HallowBillies7 05-14-2014 05:31 PM

Lol defense has forgot how to defense. What a joke. This team needs to pull another comeback out of their ass.

Honestly I am shocked at the results of this series. Lots of game left though.

I think more or less these young guys are just crumbling in the moment. It's just mental mistake after mental mistake. They are not playing like they did all year. And the ice sucks so there have been a few bad bounces.

rickyh24 05-14-2014 05:52 PM

How long until we find out chara is injured?

I don't think he is injured, i just think the season is catching up with him.

Remember folks, this year was an Olympic year. Lots of tired bodies out there, regardless of injuries.

Exactly, they're hoping that Dougie will be able to step up when Chara is fully done.
