I have a seguin winter classic sweater and a home marchand sweater. Obviously seguin's gone and I have a feeling marchy won't be around for the longrun so I told my gf I want a white Bergeron sweater. She got me an XL for Christmas which I was swimming in so I went to Dicks to exchange it for a L. They didn't have one in store so they took the exchange and gave me a giftcard to purchase a white sweater online. I went online and there wasn't an option for a Bergeron L white sweater. it was grayed out like they weren't even taking backorders. I called Dicks and they told me they can't backorder anything and I'd have to customize a white bruins sweater with Bergeron's name and number....wtf there's no difference between taking a backorder on a sweater and ordering a customized...they'd have to make another one for me anyway...w/e..

so yesterday the sweater arrived. factory sealed. the stitched numbers were fraying and there was a rip near the NHL seal. I went back to Dicks and they did the same thing...took the return, reordered me a new Large white Bergeron sweater, and gave me a $50 giftcard for my troubles. Hopefully this one isn't damaged when I get it!

all in all, Dicks sporting goods customer service is decent, but their procedures are all kinds of messed up. not only did I get the points for my gf's initial purchase, but then I got the points on the second and third time I purchased it so Dicks sees this as I spend $510 and they're sending me all kinds of rewards and $ off my next purchase.

Holy cow. That's a hassle.

In the future, just order a blank Bruins sweater, then go to a local hockey shop and have them stitch it for you. Typically a lot easier than dealing with Dicks, and they usually do a great job. I know the hockey shops in my area that actually do the Hawks practice and promotional warm up sweaters, so it makes it easy to know they'll do a good job.

Carter Hutton is more than able to play well but it's hard to replace someone like Pekka. I don't think the injury is as serious as some were thinking it may be.

That's the worst injury to have is in goal. Not like a number of guys can replace his production like if a scorer goes out.

Much needed win for the Kings the other night. Jones goes in net after being out one month and records a shut out. Given it was against the Leafs, but still. Quick has been uncharacteristic as of late; not just losing but letting in a lot of goals. We'll see.

Would love to go, but between a baby appointment at 4pm and work at 5am Wednesday, getting up to Verizon Center will prove difficult :lol

Not surprised tix are so cheap though. A Tuesday vs the Oilers is as vanilla as a game could be. Still better than last year, I looked into a Tuesday game vs the Islanders last season and found tix for $11 each

I miss those days...so much. You can't get a pair for under $200 anymore in Chicago. It could be a regular season game against Carolina on a Tuesday and you'll see 300 level corners in the last row for $130 each.

Extremely fortunate. I mean when he left the game the other night there was a long discussion on the ice beforehand. Mazanec just got called up and Hutton (though he's yet to win a game this year) should be good enough to mind the net during the three game stretch.

Good to hear he's ok, though I'm kinda bummed he'll be out against the Caps on Friday. Was looking forward to the test. Also woulda been a good show since both he and Holtby have been so good. It does increase our chances to win I guess.

:thumbsup Islanders got that one right

Yes and no as Snow offered Vanek 50 million and was turned down. With his gambling problems, you would think he would taken more money.

Well duh, but they had the lead in the 3rd and took a lot of stupid penalties in the 3rd I guess too. I mean Wings need to take care of their own business but some help wouldn't be bad.

Looks like Rinne is going to miss about 3 games and the All Star game with a sprained knee. This is pretty good news. Looks like they're just being cautious and given the workload he gets on a regular basis, he needs the rest.

Well now they are saying 3-5 weeks according to this:

Should be a good game either way. This is one I've been looking forward to. I may try and make it to the game if I can just to pay respects to Trotz. That place is going to go crazy for him at the beginning of the game.

Yeah that will be nice to see. I'm quickly falling in love with BT, faster than I thought I would. I'm most excited to see Filip Forsberg for a full game now that he's really solidified himself as a top guy there in Nashville. I feel like I watched that kid for so long and never got to reap the benefits. I'm so glad to see he's having a bunch of success.

Really sucks about Pekka.

It doesn't as long as he doesn't play 40 games. This is a good move for him.
