Olga's good to get a basic idea of some songs, but they are, in general, pretty weak on accuracy.

How 'bout the complete tab section here? It seems pretty good to me

Donald :)

Alix 03-27-2002 06:54 AM

i think the best thing to do with tabs is just look at them as you listen to the song and get a feel of the rhythm...then just move on from there

Haiku Jimi 05-15-2002 02:24 PM

http://www.geocities.com/Athens/Thebes/4044/

Pretty much like 97% of all the songs they've played.....good site, really.

For whoever said that tabs confuse them sometimes (like the timing) Try dmbtabs.com

Someone already posted it here, but just in case you didnt know, they have real player/windows media clips for some songs with just the guitar part, and it really helps you learn the song.

Its probably been said but I like dmbtabs.com. They all seem real acurate and if you dont think they are you can always listen to the sound clip of it. The clips help out a lot. They also have the whole song and not just the noticeable parts.

bartender40 08-25-2002 12:50 PM

ok, but not everyone has perfect pitch and can figure out exactly what chords are being played. You forget about all the funky 7ths and stuff, and what about Dave's fucky chords, and how about aternate tunings, huh?

diggerofditches 08-30-2002 07:25 PM

http://www.duke.edu/~cjo1/davetabs/ i dont know if anyone said this one earlier but it is a pretty good one also with violin and bass tabs.

:bounce

dleemiller 10-07-2002 03:10 PM

i like http://www.mxtabs.net

although you olga fans are probably all playing
my interpretation of one sweet world and intro
and grey street.

dleemiller 10-07-2002 03:11 PM

no no, my bad, not grey street, grace is gone

anyway, mxtabs has several choices for each tab and
you can rate them so you know which ones are bad

I was surfing and did the typical "Dave Matthews Band Guitar Tab" on google and a new one that I hadn't seen before popped up: http://www.geocities.com/ericwormann/

Seems pretty good and accurate from what I have played.. and the YNK tab is a new take on doing it in standard tuning

Not that accurate.

www.dmbtabs.com all the way.

dmbLIOG 11-19-2002 01:32 PM

Here is another one. http://nancies.org/music/tabs/

Also if you didn't know (sorry if this was already posted) the website you are on has tabs for most songs. If you get out of the forum to the main page of AM.org and click on music, then click on lyrics and tabs at the bottom of the drop down box. It will bring you to their archive of lyrics and tabs.

anyone know a site where you just get the chords and lyrics on the same page? i just want the chords written over the words, its much easier for somebody singing and playing.

hehehe. if you're talkin' dave stuff its not that easy. It takes practice and patience and more practice and patience to do dave tunes. what songs do you have in mind?? there's probably easier dave songs like STJL, Ants, and such that this could be done for , but songs like the Stone, Tripping Billies, Rhyme and Reason - its time and practice...

peace,
Ken

mj2185 11-23-2002 05:09 PM

aren't we funny? i can play every dave song and all of dave and tim's parts for every one of their songs, but for the majority of his songs the chords could be written out above the lyrics, making it easier on whoever is playing. I was just wondering if anyone knew of a site with just chords, naturally every dave song would not be there, but i'd say 70-80% of them could be chorded out.
