The boys are returning to the Twin Cities for the first time since the infamous "Night Before" show!

Very pleased to see they are playing Target Center and not US Bank stadium, sound should be much, much better.

Whos in???

My wife and I will be going! Can't wait. Requested WH seats with RESVD1 being our preference!

Re: ***Official Minneapolis 2022 Thread***

I let my WH membership lapse so I cant see the options, but how are they splitting up the floor? Is it a pit area and then reserved floor chairs behind that or is the entire floor an open GA?

Really looking at doing floor

The band’s first time to Target Center since 05 I believe. That was my very first DMB show. Life’s coming full circle! Can’t wait for this show. So glad MN made the short list for this tour.

Sounds about right....I couldn't remember if it was 03 or 05 but in any event, its been a long long time coming!

would rather them be at the x again as it sounds good no matter where in that arena you end up being, but hey, they're coming here and i'm glad it's not the first stop on the fall/winter tour like it has been a couple times before. i put in for ga floor. hopefully the fact that this was one of the last threads created for the new tour suggests interest among the traveling fanbase in this show is minimal and floor ga won't be a problem receiving. i guess we'll see. still wondering what the 'continental' area is supposed to be and why the ticket prices for this show seem to be at or near the highest for the tour.

that 05 show started off so good..

Was my thoughts exactly when I didnt see a mpls thread already started....Lets us hope!

Has DMB hit the point where playing the X no longer makes sense for them? I mean they were definetly closer to "at their peak" of fame in 05 vs. now in 22 so maybe this logic holds no water. Either way, Im excited to see the boys in the twin cities.

i’m not sure what you’re getting at with playing the x not making sense vs target center? the wild have a game that night at xcel so it makes sense why they’re playing target center this time through town, but if we’re comparing the two and both were available i’d sure hope they’d have opted for the better acoustics and all-around arena experience the x provides. anyways, it doesn’t matter in the end, i’m just glad we get a tour show here again.

for local dmb shows i’ve seen, i’d probably have to decide between the 2003 and 2015 shows as being my personal favorite. what’s the general opinions here for best twin cities dmb show?

I was just meaning in terms of capacity and overall band popularity, the X is way bigger? than target center and DMB was (generally) more popular in 2005 than in 2022, agreed tho, just happy we get a show. Something about target center is just nostalgic to me, even tho ive never seen DMB there...

I missed 03 and 05 but hit 10 and 15 an 18.....out of all of those 10 was my fave. Stone opener then warehouse and OSW? That kicked so much ass. Coupled with the fact that was pretty much the height of my fandom, yeah, totally my fave local show.

I remember in 15 really noticing Boyd vaping in the shadows more than he was playing (lol typical situation) but in 2010 I just remember him being on fire.

2003 always stands out to me. I think that show is underrated in general against almost any show not just Twin Cities shows.

https://dmbalmanac.com/TourShowSet.a...=72&where=2003

Stone opener, mid-set Last Stop, Cry Freedom, Pay for What You Get, Dreaming Tree, Warehouse-Dancing Nancies, Pig, etc. I mean there is hardly a weakness in the set. Maybe the Stay main set closer is the weakest part or perhaps When the World Ends. It's just a totally solid set from start to finish.

Target Center is actually slightly bigger than Xcel Energy Center.

I’ve only been to three Twin Cities shows (05, 10, 15), however I’d say my favorite MN show was 2009 10klf. The ambiance simply can’t be matched anywhere

By some freak coincidence of being in Iowa for a wedding the 13th, I should be able to swing this show. MSP what's good.

Submitted the ticket request today! Haven't been up to MN since "The Night Before." Very excited. Bonus for a drivable show and staying with friends too!

Psyched for a hometown show, just requested my WH tix!

Anyone find it weird that RESVD1 is considered ahead of FLOOR RESVD in the consideration process? I definitely would prefer FLOOR RESVD but kind of sucks you can't put RESVD1 as the second option in case I get denied first choice!

What's everyone else doing? I didn't even consider PIT, I think Alpine this summer was officially my last PIT show, getting too old for that shit!

Im just trying to get as close as I can in the general onsale.

Im assuming the lower reserved are numbered folding chairs placed on the floor? I may have a large crew coming so we are trying to keep our seating options as open as possible to allow late additions.

Yeah, I assumed the floor reserved are folding chairs. I'm totally not remembering but hasn't the floor usually been all GA in recent arena shows?

GA is always just a portion in front of the stage with seats behind GA on the floor.

i put in for ga standing and got resvd1. fucking lame.

edit: i guess i didn't realize resvd1 is higher in priority than floor reserved, which is even lamer. but whatever. in the building and whatnot.

anyone ever figure out what 'continental' is supposed to be?

Re: ***Official Minneapolis 2022 Thread***

Confirmed for Floor Reserved as welll! Hopefully in sections 1, 2, or 3.

The email says seat locations will be posted in "the next few weeks." Would be nice if it was before the public on sale date (9/23) but not likely I would think!
