OK, hopefully I can get this to make sense to you.

What's the purpose of speed limits? What about laws? Or prison time? They're there for the purpose of trying to keep everyone in check, following the same "rules". Yet somehow, people still speed, people still break laws, and people still end up in prison. There are always going to be exceptions. There will always be people that just don't care and do what they want. Lapierre is that guy.

Imagine there are no speed limits anywhere, it would be chaos. Fighting in hockey is like speed limits. It keeps the majority of people in check, but there would still be people breaking those "rules".

Though in your analogy, there wouldn't be speed limits, or there would but only with tiny fines. But we get to ram into asshole drivers with our big ass trucks, then get only small ticket. That would be sweet.

One of the greatest all time post game interview answers.

I miss Bryz so much. I might rewatch that 24/7 just for him.

Best line, Pavelski on Lapierre: ‘Things like that happen, especially when idiots are idiots’

You can't stop idiots. Speaking in terms of speed limits, I drive on a road where it's 55 and I usually float between that and 60 and there are still assholes who fly by me so they must be going damn near 70 on a regular 2 lane road in the country so if a deer ran out, which I've seen, that would be interesting. So again, idiots being idiots.

Just realized Jonas Hiller is a UFA. Now there is another option for the Oilers. Fasth is for sure the guy they're keeping so...

I won't lie, Tim. I'm nervous about tonight. The Avs - aside from Duchene and Varly - didn't look as sharp against Dallas (although everyone's still playing hard). After seeing what Dats did to Chara the other night, I can only imagine what he could do to Erik Johnson...

Power play has been going strong the last few games. Alfie is finding his legs. I don't think Franzen has scored yet this season either. Datsyuk and Zetterberg are playing the best I've seen them in a few years. Helps when you have a 2nd line that's a threat. We'll see though. Avs always play the Wings tough.

Looks like the pens will be icing their worst lineup in years tonight. Adams and tanner glass on the 3rd line. Harry Z and Engelland. Yes, D-man Engelland on the 4th line.

Set up an interview with Philadelphia's Tye McGinn and Michael Raffl tomorrow before the game. I'll post the story later!
Ask them if they prefer Fata or Daigle.

Maybe the Pens could lure Fata over from Europe. Play him with Crosby.

Matty: Ozzie interviewed Roy since Ozzie works for Fox Sports Detroit now. Here's Ozzie talking about it a little.

This is pretty impressive:

@KKurzCSN: The #SJSharks plus-21 goal differential through first six games is best in league since '84-85 #Oilers (also plus-21); credit @SharksStats

Ouch Tim... Big loss for the Wings in Kronwall. Never like to see stuff like that. McLeod was cruising and Kronner kind of turned, but I still think McLeod could have at least let up. McLeod's not that type of player (agitator and tough but not cheap), but he should see some discipline for that one. Hoping Kronner is ok.

Someone explain the hit on Kronwall?

Heard he went off on a stretcher.

Kronwall went into the corner after the puck, McLeod on his tail. Kronwall did kind of turn his back to McLeod, but I think McLeod had enough time to at least let up. He didn't, and ended up going full steam right into Kronwall's numbers. Carried off on a stretcher. 5 min. major for boarding and game misconduct for McLeod.

Awful. Yeah Kronner turned but McLeod was going full speed. Worried how long he'll be out. Didn't look good.

Kronwal has a concussion and cuts to his ear. Has all feeling in his extremities. Is in the dressing room and will not have to go to the hospital.
