He played a game against Chicago and I saw him last night and I have to say he looks damn solid in net. He is technically a rookie too and he played with a lot of composure last night and stopped the Avs momentum cold. He is certainly not the biggest goalie in the league but he plays well, moves quick and makes all the stops.

My concern as well.

Yeah, his tremendous generosity off the ice keeps me from absolutely loathing him, but he's easily my least favorite player in the NHL. I secretly smile every time he gets beat to a puck or something (which is pretty often actually).

Reviewing minutes old off sides when there is a goal is the worst rule ever.

On a fast break maybe but the moment they get it in the zone and other hockey plays happen it should not be a factor in the review.

Like I said, on a rush I get it but the moment the rush is over by a save ot something different like loss of possession or they were or were not offsides should not be reviewed.

Nothing wrong with reviewing offsides. Doesnt matter how long play runs after it. Any action shouldn’t count because, rules.

If it’s too close to tell, let it go. If it’s clear, it’s offsides. No reason to get bent out of shape about it. Offsides is probably the most important rule in hockey.

You can't just yell challenge! Basketball goes back to review 2/3s minutes later too.

Football is scoring plays only too...

Exactly. It’s not football. You can’t stop play and challenge. It matters most when you score, so you check.


It doesn’t disproportionately affect anyone. Just don’t go offsides.

If it’s happens in the NBA then it probably doesn’t belong in hockey.

So if a foot is on the line they could call it a 3, but will review it during a time out and take a point away. You could be playing for 4+ minutes not knowing the real score.
