Flyers are such a joke. Still no goalie, still no coach, still no sustained offense. Glad we made the playoffs and hurt our draft position when we clearly need to add legitimate talent. Maybe we can go suck for a decade and get two all timers. Seems to have worked for the Penguins (and Sixers).

Not like they were bad enough to be picking top 10. They will now pick 19 and if they missed they'd probably be picking 15. In this deep of a draft that probably isn't that big of a difference.

When you’re not going anywhere with the current lineup the draft is all that matters. I hope I’ll have to eat these words but this team isn’t winning shit this year.

I’m assuming you weren’t alive in 1975. What have the Flyers done in your lifetime that instills positivity?

They have won NOTHING in over four decades, and have made more awful moves than good ones. Being realistic doesn’t make one less of a fan.

The talent we need we aren't going to add through the draft if we missed the playoffs this year unless we went full tank. Getting our young players playoff experience is needed. I agree with the no coach and no goalie though. And if missing the playoffs would have meant Hakstol would have been fired than I wouldn't have mind missing it

Blackhawks had a very young team full of loaded potential reach the playoffs in 2008-09 for the first time. It was valuable experience for them. Guess what they did next season. You can't put a price on what this experience does for Sanheim, Konecny, Patrick, Provorov, etc. who haven't been in this situation yet.

A handful of those guys you mentioned played in the playoffs before, including Hossa who was in the last two Cups and not even on that 08-09 team.

And if you're telling me Gostisbehere, Konecny, Patrick, Provorov and Sanheim have no chance at being stars in this league then you're out of your damn mind.
