Great to see Marcus Johansson with the helper on the game winner last night. Perfect dish on the stick of Williams.

He's reallyed uped his game the last few seasons.

My bad, Johansson feathered it is get the defenders stick the on the secondary assist. That was pretty crafty too.

I saw them celebrating and thought he made the pass. Anyway. It's guys like him that if they keep playing well will have a huge impact.

Bruce can never get there. I feel bad for him but his team struggled down the stretch too like CBJ so shouldn't be too much of a surprise.

To be fair, I was way under my normal average of "Rangers are terrible" posts this year for round 1! :lol

Obviously very excited and happy!!! See you all in the second round! Let's go Rangers!!

So far 2 of the 4 #1 seeds are gone as well. Bracket busting playoffs!

Also, thanks everyone, round 1 was hard work. Really had focus on picking the right place to watch the games, finding the perfect rituals, and praying to the hockey gods. Can't wait to step it up even more for round 2!

I'm a little surprised NBC picked the Bruins instead of the Caps today, maybe because Boston is home?

Either way, doesn't matter except I have to wait an extra four hours. I'm off today and I'd really like to get this hockey game thing out of the way

Rangers played a great second and third period after a very sleepy first. MSG seemed a little...chatty during the Canadian anthem, anyone know what was up with that?

Rangers played an excellent second half of round 1.

Also, I have to say, the officiating was incredibly substandard in that series. I get it's the playoffs but there were probably 4 times last night I was questioning why there was no call.

John Stevens to be Kings coach. Interesting that they kept it in house with all the house cleaning they have been doing.

Yeah there was (what appeared to be) a blatant interference by MTL in like the first that, along with a slew of others that weren't called. The dude spitting blood on the ice, that was a pretty big one.

California teams confuse me. It seems like they are ether in the Cup finals or crash our in the first round/don't even make the playoffs. I feel like the Kings still have all the pieces to be really good again. I felt that way about Anaheim last year too. I just don't understand how those 3 teams lack that much consistency.

Not sure if you're used to it, but this is how the playoff officiating is. Much longer leash

I honestly forgot about that game. I was catching up on work, etc. during the Rags game and didn't change the channel.

Congrats to the Oilers. That team will probably get leveled by the Ducks, but still good to see them advance
