@Russostrib Remember that one time 19 years ago when Jaromir Jagr lost to the #flapanthers in the Eastern Conference Finals?

These rumors popped up very briefly last year during the playoffs last year. Supposedly someone punched Sharp for banging another guy's wife and having other marital problems that somehow involved then-NBC-now-ABC's Cheryl Scott. This was posted by a has-been hockey blogger that is basically the pessimistic angry uncle sitting in the corner yelling about how the government is controlling everyone's brains (I won't even reference his website just because he's that bad). Until something concrete comes out, I'll trust my guys that this is all hearsay for now. |

But hey, maybe Clarkson picks it up in Lumbus. Who knows? |
Re: The NHL Thread
Clarkson will actually play so there is that.
|
Re: The NHL Thread
That's just what I was thinking. And has less of a cap hit, right?

Re: The NHL Thread
But Toronto can put Horton on LTIR, saving a ton of cap space. It makes so much sense for Toronto, very little for CBUS.
|
Re: The NHL Thread
The more I think about it, the more I kinda applaud CBJ for being able to get out from under that contract. Sure, the price was Clarkson. But there probably wasn't a lot of opportunity to unload Horton's contract so he went for it.

Re: The NHL Thread
Wow I leave for like 4 hours and all hell breaks loose. At least I don't have to stomach the thought of a Jagr return to DC anymore. That is one less option for the Caps to fix that top line RW issue though. Pretty amazing he's been in the league longer than FLA. What a strange deal between the Leafs and Jackets. I guess there's reasons it makes sense, especially for Toronto, but still very odd deal on the surface.
