Rangers up to #5 on ESPN's power rankings! Finally some love! I can't wait for tomorrow's game!
Also, so glad I picked Nashville to be my west team. Just hope we don't run into them in the finals or the crush I have on them will be like a 13 year old girl in 1999 finding out that Lance Bass was gay. |

One thing I love about NHL players and the ASG is that it's a pretty-well understood rule that you don't bitch about whether you were included or not. In fact, I think most players would rather NOT play in it and take the time to rest. Because hockey players are awesome. My disdain for the ASG is well documented. I'm still trying to get the league to move it to pre-season, but they don't seem down with the idea. For some reason they won't return my calls. Don't they know who I am?? Quote:
Also, a side note to this is Ribeiro being willing to get rough as well. What a great story he's been for the Predators. Not sure if he's been able to clean up whatever was going on in his personal life, but all signs point to him getting back on the right track. He's been great for the Preds. |

While we're talking about it, I'd be upset with myself if I didn't mention Anna Prugova.

Didn't know Hasek is getting his # retired in Buffalo on Tuesday while the Wings are there. Nice touch by the Ducks to have the Jets there for #8 going up last night and Sabres for having the Wings tomorrow.

So who gets the nod to replace Howard in the ASG? Fleury? Hank? Dare I say, Holtby??
I say Hank gets it |
Re: The NHL Thread
I have a seguin winter classic sweater and a home marchand sweater. Obviously seguin's gone and I have a feeling marchy won't be around for the longrun so I told my gf I want a white Bergeron sweater. She got me an XL for Christmas which I was swimming in so I went to Dicks to exchange it for a L. They didn't have one in store so they took the exchange and gave me a giftcard to purchase a white sweater online. I went online and there wasn't an option for a Bergeron L white sweater. it was grayed out like they weren't even taking backorders. I called Dicks and they told me they can't backorder anything and I'd have to customize a white bruins sweater with Bergeron's name and number....wtf there's no difference between taking a backorder on a sweater and ordering a customized...they'd have to make another one for me anyway...w/e..
so yesterday the sweater arrived. factory sealed. the stitched numbers were fraying and there was a rip near the NHL seal. I went back to Dicks and they did the same thing...took the return, reordered me a new Large white Bergeron sweater, and gave me a $50 giftcard for my troubles. Hopefully this one isn't damaged when I get it! all in all, Dicks sporting goods customer service is decent, but their procedures are all kinds of messed up. not only did I get the points for my gf's initial purchase, but then I got the points on the second and third time I purchased it so Dicks sees this as I spend $510 and they're sending me all kinds of rewards and $ off my next purchase. |

In the future, just order a blank Bruins sweater, then go to a local hockey shop and have them stitch it for you. Typically a lot easier than dealing with Dicks, and they usually do a great job. I know the hockey shops in my area that actually do the Hawks practice and promotional warm up sweaters, so it makes it easy to know they'll do a good job. |
