I'm sorry, but as a self respecting Capitals fan, I can't find it within myself to say anything nice about Jagr. Fuck that guy.

Yeah, he was only a point per game player for the Caps in an era when there weren't many. Fuck that guy :lol

Love free tickets to Hawks games. Especially against teams like the Lightning. Pumped to see Stamkos.

Jaromir Jagr was a spectacular disappointment in Washington. He pouted and whined the whole time he was here, he never embraced the fans after they tried oh so hard to embrace him, and after he left he basically admitted he just went through the motions while he was here and didn't give it his full effort. This was after he was given $11 million a season, back when that number was astronomical unlike today. Jagr failed to hit 80 points in both of his full seasons in Washington, after he recorded 90+ and four Art Ross trophies in four straight seasons for the Penguins, and then immediately had a 120+ point season with the Rangers as soon as he was traded (while the Caps paid half of his salary that year). Jagr's Capitals won exactly two playoff games in one playoff appearance during two full seasons where he was in his prime and played with guys like Oates, Bondra and Kolzig who were also in their prime. Jaromir Jagr basically set the Capitals back by half a decade with his bullshit attitude and lack of effort, after he signed what was at the time the largest contract ever signed in the NHL. Then he acted like he couldn't care less when he talked about it in the years that followed.

So yeah, fuck him.

So Barbs, tell us how you really feel. :lol

PS - That's the same basic understanding I had of Jagr's tenure in Washington. That's another thing to consider... where he'd be pointswise if he was able to put up those 80+ point years in Washington.

Re: The NHL Thread

I was mostly being sarcastic as I knew things didn't go well there and knew most of what you said. I didn't know he admitted going thru the motions. That's messed up. I just thought it wasn't a good fit for both sides. Your anger is warranted and well placed.

Habs acquire Gonchar from Stars for Moen. Read a tweet from Dallas press saying one of the primary reasons is Dallas wanting to open up blueline spots for young D.

I consider the biggest waste of money I've ever personally spent to be the time I spent $100 on a Jaromir Jagr Caps jersey. It ended up going in a bag of clothes I donated to Goodwill when I moved back in 2006 :lol

In summation, I am not a Jagr fan and cringe at the thought of him moving past Gartner on the goal scoring list

Dude, it's the greatest thing ever. I take all my time off with work during the summer and pond hockey season. January is the best. Just ordered this twice:

http://www.amazon.com/HotHands-Hand-...s=hand+warmers

Shove that shit in my skates and gloves, get on the ice at 9AM, step off at like 3PM when I start to lose feeling everywhere, go get a burger and fries and beer at a nearby bar, get back on the ice by 5PM, skate till they turn off the lights and/or I can't feel anything again.

i doubt it. CBJ is still insanely banged up. their offense is very easy to neutralize right now.

True, and the Caps have been very good defensively this season, but it doesn't take much to crack Holtby. I mean they've been holding teams to ~25 shots against this season and Holtby still finds a way to give 3 per game

I love playing every single way I can, but outdoors is just something special. This has been my wallpaper at work for a couple weeks:

outdoor hockey is the best, one of my friends had a tennis court growing up so we would flood it in the winter and play hockey on it.

and in the summer we would play roller hockey on it.

i dont ever recall playing tennis on it :lol

I hope so, too as the fanduel lineup I set up for tonight includes OV as my high priced stud. I was tempted to go Holtby in goal but hard to pass up whoever plays buffalo these days.

The biggest reason I'm posting this is just so all can get a great look at Chimera's underrated hockey nose. A gorgeous shnoz.

So Nick Backstrom's silver medal is still an on going issue. So stupid, and completely unfair to Nick.
