I want a right handed shot d-man. Just needs to be able to move the puck up the ice. Doesn't need to overly offensive, just effective. Physicality is a plus but I'm open to idea.

I'm hoping to have a chat with Phoenix about getting OEL. I need someone well-rounded, but focused more on physicality and actual d-zone presence.

Phoenix has been pretty vocal about saying they need a change. GM has said that "guys have been around here too long and become complacent" or something along those lines. I think that means Doan and Yandle are going to be shown the door. OEL possibly too, but who knows.

Would be dumb to get rid of OEL. I could see Yandle going. Can't imagine the cost. I know I said a righty but I'd take Yandle. I said that before.

I will give you Stefan Elliott and a 3rd for Abdelkader.

Exactly. I want to capitalize on this. I like Parenteau when he's on, but he's off too often. He's the most valuable asset the Avs have, and I'd be willing to part with him for D.

Ummm no. Abby's my boy. He can play 4th line or top line. PP or PK. Perfect role player.

THAT'S WHY I WANT HIM. Plus, his salary is fantastic.

Him on a line with Talbot and John Mitchell would be sooooooo cool.

Avalanche had 5 shots at even strength last night.

Varlamov has had an amazing season .......

And that was nearly half their shots the whole game. Crazy, weird night for the Avs.

I originally thought Tuukka was the runaway for the Vezina, but now I'm not quite so sure. Still has the upper hand, but I think Varlamov finishing first in wins, shots faced, AND saves is saying something about the season he had (and the season the Avs defense had... which was kinda expected anyways).

Speaking of Sarah's legs...

Anyone else have a good beard going? I'm at about 2 weeks and it's starting to itch.

Got the goatee again. Looking good but obviously not helping much. I don't think they've ever won it all when I've done the facial hair.

I love it.

Last nights game got me really excited but obviously the "too little too late" thought creeped in my head. Sharks won 3 straight against us. It's not impossible to grab two more and force a game 7.

It's amazing what happens when you put Brown on the top line with Kopitar and Gaborik. Looks like all lines are finally clicking. Going into tomorrow night with this momentum is huge. They just have to keep playing their style of hockey and we have a chance.

:lol Yep, a lady is precisely the reason why. You see, in a monogamous relationship like mine (I know, a monogamous Mormon, right?), receiving "unspeakable things" from said lady is contingent upon being as clean-shaven as possible. I haven't had a full beard in like 5 years. :lol

You're married with three kids. Don't lie, no unspeakable things happening there.

Mine looks good. I can grow a goatee in a matter of days. The thing is with a goatee you can't go a few days and not shave because it looks like crap. If the Wings lose the goatee will come off quickly so I can go back to only shaving twice a week.

Exactly. That's why I've got to be prepared in case the moment ever presents itself! :lol
