Canceled *** Official Oklahoma 2021: COME SEE FOR YOURSELF!***

9/18 and 9/19 at Choctaw Grand Theatre in Durant, OK. Interesting.

Re: *** Official Oklahoma 2020 ***

Reserved Seating: $349.00
GA Pit Standing: $129.00

Yikes. I hate pit, but these are close to me. :lol

Just looked up this venue because I thought it was odd they are playing 2 nights there. Is the seating capacity really only like 1800? The place looks tiny.

Re: *** Official Oklahoma 2020 ***

I’m gonna try for that Saturday show, but standing. I’m not doing pit.

It’s only 5 hours from me, and my folks live close by.

My mind is blown. This is awesome for me as someone who lives in OKC, but with a venue like this I am wondering if it’s even realistic to expect to get tickets anywhere near affordable. I’m not a WH member, but thinking presale might be best bet here? Anyone that has any tips on how to secure these ASAP I’d really appreciate it.

Uhhhh, is anyone going to bring up that reserved seating is $350 before fees?!?

I get it's a smaller venue, but .... not THAT small. Is this a benefit show?

Re: *** Official Oklahoma 2020 ***

WTF $349? I'd love to do a 2 night stay in my home state, but not at that price! Our first DMB concert (2004) was $45 for reserved! My wife didn't handle pit in Dallas too well last year so I don't think that is an option either.

Re: *** Official Oklahoma 2020 ***

Standing is only $129. That’s why I’m gonna try for the Saturday show.

Re: *** Official Oklahoma 2020 ***

Is “standing” for sure “pit” or are there other designated areas in the venue for SRO?

chadizzy1 01-22-2020 06:40 AM

Re: *** Official Oklahoma 2020 ***

It looks like a pretty big pit area - https://meyersound.com/wp-content/up...choctaw_01.jpg

Have a room at the Holiday Inn express about 5 miles away. Half the price of the rooms on site. I'll try to get pit, but wont be paying $350/ticket for reserved.

*** Official Oklahoma 2020 ***

Venue holds 3,000 seated.

Edit: Actually that may not be concert seating, but banquet seating.

Of course it's the weekend of my beloved Winfield. Can't skip that beautiful fest.

Oklahoma...no weed...shitty venue...bad casino...expensive tickets...GTFO.

Re: *** Official Oklahoma 2020 ***

Besides the Durant shows being the closest to me, the only thing that interests me is how small the venue is. Will repeat this comment on the Texas thread.

Wondering how cheap these tickets might get the day of the show....

If you lived in OK it's more than enough time to get a medical card and stock up on edibles. Up to each doctor individually: https://www.marijuanadoctors.com/med...qualification/

Don't they only do 3.2 beer as well? Seems I saw Pearl Jam in OKC a while back and couldn't get a buzz.

Oklahoma went full strength beer in November 2018, so rejoice!

Both Durant, OK shows will most definitely be benefit shows...the Choctaw Indian tribe is going to benefit greatly with (2) DMB performances at their casino. 😂😂😂

I’m thinking the cost to get tickets to both of these shows is going to make me put my money where my mouth is....Literally, “how much” do I love this band?

Room booked. WH better pull through for me on pits. Ain't buying those asinine reserved seats.

To be fair though, he's right. It's been less than two years since Oklahoma got "real" beer.

By "real" beer, I mean 5.4 Bud, Coors, and Miller products that they sell more of at shows as they've sold copious amounts of high point craft beer for years.

Re: *** Official Oklahoma 2020 ***

For those who don’t want to pay the over-inflated hotel room rates at the casino or if the Days Inn books up, there are already a few die-hard DMB fans reserving RV and tent sites at the Durant Choctaw KOA campground. If I’m not mistaken, I believe it may be walking distance to the casino and theatre. It’s no Wild Horse, Dead Creek or even Bong State Recreational..it’s not where you are but who you’re with that really matters

I'd like to go and make it a Vegas-like trip. Play some poker. Hang out by the pool. But 344$/night on hotels. With pit tickets you're looking at $900 before you do anything. Yikes.
