I mean, I barely watched any of the game (was working, got home with like 3 minutes left), but like I said earlier today it's one those believe it when I see it things. Sure, Holtby having a strong period and Fleury finally seeming a little shaky sounds awesome and should be promising. But I just can't get behind it. Until they don't, I fully expect the Pens to win this series. Doesn't really matter to me what actually happened in the game tonight.

Like I could totally see them (Caps) winning on Monday with a convincing road game and then laying an egg at home on Wednesday. Until they prove me wrong, I will assume they are about to lose.

Caps came out strong in the 3rd. Has me a little worried but I still feel good about game 6 monday.

Also, barbs with as big a fan you are I can't believe you don't just tune out the score and watch the game on dvr, I know I wouldn't be able to just score watch on my phone.

It's easier for me to just know honestly. I hate to sound repetitive and cliche but I've seen it. I don't really want to go through the stress and letdown unless I can watch it live. I used to do the DVR thing but I like being caught up.

Plus I like to be able to be in here when I can.

I stand corrected.
I get what you're saying because at least offensively the Caps have been the better team but you've got a lot of ifs that need to happen for the biggest chokers of all time to come back against the Cup champs.

The Caps finally looked decent. Still had some breakdown and Holtby bailed them out a ton but hung in and got it done.

Not sure what you saw from Ovie to say much improved. He was largely invisible again. I think he only had 3 shots. Got a lucky bounce back to himself after a blocked shot on his goal.

I agree it was a super lucky bounce but he took advantage and scored a huge goal. Credit is due, was a hell of a shot.

I still think Ovie needs to get to another level though if the Caps are going to win.

Pens D was sloppy when Wash brought ample pressure and urgency. And it provided three goals. Fleury can't stop everything; pens been outshot all but 2(?) games. They haven't made it easy for him between the posts. D has to step up big this game. Just too sloppy last game in the third, when it ultimately mattered
