All of this. Very bad scheduling conflictz. But looks like it straightens out a couple game in the series

Interesting addendum to the Pens going through Washington on all four of their Cup runs: the Pens lost Game 1 in each of the four series.

Let's hope the Caps lose game 1 :lol

Perhaps. Who knows, but the Phone Booth crew has flipped that floor a couple times. Doubt this any deciding factor

I mean if the shoe fits wear it. I would like to think after Nisk publicly mentioned it that it was discussed in the locker room. I think that's going to be the biggest thing for them. Admitting their past failures and knowing it's an issue.

As for being over the mountain if they win this series, that's an optimistic point of view you got. This series good emotionally physically and mentally drain them just as it may give them momentum for future rounds. Time will tell.

Final though, if they can't win with Trotz they aren't getting it done in Ovi's tenure, IMO. I think everyone has already stated this, but Trotz has them playing at a remarkable and whole rounded level

Nashville to win out?

16-0?

I really don't want to see James Neal and Ryan Johanssen lift the Stanley Cup. No thanks.

I just love the city of Nashville, so I could not help being happy for them. They really do love their Preds there, and that is awesome!

I don't really hate any team in the Central though. When my mom was working in St. Louis a lot for work she got me an Al MacInnis blues jersey circa 2000. I wore that thing all the time playing street hockey!

While this talk will be in the media for sure I'm not worried.

As much as the players know the history, when they start to believe they will only become that much stronger.

I was all for the Preds winning the Cup... and then remembered James Neal plays for Nashville.

Didnt get to watch the games last night...

Really surprised that EDM took it to the ducks. But the way the Ducks always choke I can definitely see the Oils taking the series, they are playing great hockey.

I enjoy watching the Ducks lose.

Outside of a terrible second period the Blues looked better than they did the entirety of the Wild series. Bummed we couldn't get a W but no way do I see the Preds sweeping us. I think it will be a pretty tight series, 6 or 7 games.

TheLastPig 04-27-2017 07:38 AM

Re: The NHL Thread (where the Presidents Trophy matters!)

The ducks are such an unlikable team.. and theyve always been that way, its odd.

Maybe if they go back to the jerseys/colors they should be wearing it would help. The color scheme theyve got is the worst in professional sports.

Re: The NHL Thread (where the Presidents Trophy matters!)

I was reading that the Oilers got some nice bounces. I didn't watch the game though, so I have no idea. I watched the first 2 periods of the Preds/Blues game. I think Nashville will win that series, but the Blues will probably take a game or two. Allen was not superhuman and that will be an issue for the Blues.

Suban is feeling it too. He had one great night last night. Which makes the Weber trade that much tougher for the Habs fans I am sure...

I agree. I think that as far as psyche goes, beating the Penns would go a long way in expelling some of those demons.

Yeah, the Preds need to be careful. The Blues really took it to them in the 3rd and they were lucky to get away with that one.

Hopefully Habs fans understand that even if Subban was still on the team they'd probably still experience the same result. That team is just not built very well, to be honest.

:thumbsup The worst was the Blues player not realizing what had happened (understandable) and kind of jerking Fiala around after the collision trying to get his stick loose.

My EMT and Emergency Department experience helped me call that one last night. I knew when I saw them pulling on his skates that it was probably a femur break.

It was ugly to watch. Femur will probably be a lengthy recovery unfortunately. Upsetting to see that kind of thing in any sport.

Honestly and 100% not against it. But doing it on the phone is next to impossible.
