Re: The NHL Thread (lolcaps)
Seriously, how can the NHL fuck up so badly that they ban gambling reference for a VEGAS team?
Las Vegas Aces HOW DO YOU NOT DO THAT? |

I do like the logo though.

I personally think it's too simple. |
Re: The NHL Thread (lolcaps)
I actually don't mind the logo. Name sucks though
How long until they shorten it to just "Knights"? |
Re: The NHL Thread (lolcaps)
Definitely should have just been Knights. Nearly every single person will drop the "Golden" when talking about them anyway.
|
Re: The NHL Thread (lolcaps)
I really feel like the logo is something we've seen as a generic video game logo before.
|
Re: The NHL Thread (lolcaps)
Los Angeles Kings, Las Vegas Golden Knights. Is the West turning into a chess board?
|
Re: The NHL Thread (lolcaps)
Lockman nailed it. Absolutely looks like EA Sports create-a-team logo. Just terrible. Awful name. Awful logo. Awful color scheme. Poor Dmitry Orlov.
|
Re: The NHL Thread (lolcaps)
So wait. They're technically just the "Vegas" GK? No "Las"? What the fuck, America
|
Re: The NHL Thread (lolcaps)
I don't get the dropping of the Las....I mean next up the York Rangers? Golden Knights is eh to me. I know they had to put a name in front of the Knights so I think Black Knights just sounds better. The logo I agree is like a team I'd create on NHL 2001.

I dont understand why its so hard to come up with a good team name and logo.
Minor league baseball pumps out like 3 a year. |

Nighthawks would have been much better. But even then I hate using similar names to existing teams (ala Blackhawks). Seriously, something like Aces, Dealers, Scorpions, Rattlesnakes, Vulchers, Bobcats etc. Even something as simple as "Vegas Gold" would have been miles better. |

Re: The NHL Thread (lolcaps)
A Miami Marlins player starting from the bottom gets called up via the following route: Muckdogs -> Grasshoppers -> Hammerheads -> Jumbo Shrimp -> Baby Cakes -> Marlins.
It's amazing. |

Re: The NHL Thread (lolcaps)
I'm not going to complain too much. With the team in Vegas, I plan on going to at least two of their games a year. Which is about two more NHL games than I normally go to in a year.

Re: The NHL Thread (lolcaps)
are there any more opposite places in the US than Utah and Vegas?
make sure to take at least 3 of your wives with you, Matty, to keep an eye on you. would hate to see a guy in an Adam Foote sweater face down on the floor of the MGM Grand with a Golden Knights bobblehead in one hand and a Kessel sized hot dog in the other actually nevermind, i'd love to see that :lol |
