Him, Stamkos, Toews, and Keith are automatic locks right now for Hall of Fame. (Obviously, there is more but I'm thinking of guys who still have a good chunk of career left.) |

the HoF should be based on your career. Why would you disallow Patty-K for a convicted rape (an off the ice issue during a playing career) and yet allow potential murders (and a convicted felon may I add) to remain in it in another. Pete Rose, Sammy Sosa, etc...career related infractions. Keep them out. what are your thoughts on Ray Rice/AP making the HoF? From a career standpoint AP is a lock, but the man beat his child (in the genitals at that). Let him in though... |
Re: The NHL Thread
Current players in the heart of their careers that are locks for first ballot
Ovechkin Crosby Malkin Stamkos Kane Toews Keith Bergeron Guys toward the end of their careers Chara Lecavalier (maybe) Pronger (still under contract) Guys who need a title to make them a first ballot but potential HOFers anyway Weber Price Lundqvist |
Re: The NHL Thread

Ray Rice is not a HOFer on or off the field |
Re: The NHL Thread
Lundqvist is a HOFer for sure, cup or no cup
|
Re: The NHL Thread
I meant from the perspective of letting a wife beater in the HoF. Ray rice could have been a HoF'er...
any cheaters should not be in the HoF: mac, sossa, etc. |

and i don't consider them cheaters |
Re: The NHL Thread
I feel like guys like Bonds, McGwire, A-Rod, Palmero and Clemens were so great they didn't need to cheat and should be HOFers by that fact only. Sosa was never a HOFer or considered great until he started mashing taters. Rose is a HOFer. Enough time has passed for him to be forgiven and put in. Consider it a jail sentence.
As for football, being a dick off the field has nothing to do with talent. AP is a damn HOFer. Ray Lewis will be a HOFer, Michael Irvin is already in. Kane is too in the NHL, regardless what he was accused of. If you were great, a questionable personality shouldn't reflect your greatness as a player. |
