The last thing we need is more Western Conference fans. I can't believe they even play hockey over there.

Think about how the NBA thread was before Jonathan started posting there, and how it was after he started posting there.

Montreal snatches Blair Betts off of waivers. They filled a hole for their team, especially on the PK. With Markov, I think, still injured, and Carey Price as the starter--this team needs some defensive stability on the PK. Betts provides that assuming he's still healthy enough for PK activity. (EDIT: Viagra joke)

If you have unrealistic fanatical views, don't think hockey season starts until football is over and like watch playoff collapses, then I'd suggest being a Caps fan with Brohan and MDrums.

Ugh, too many people are picking the penguins for great things this season, I don't like all of this attention. BTW, when was the last time a preseason favorite won the cup? Actually, come to think about it, it might have been the Pens so nevermind, lol.

I approve of this dream. To be honest it'll come down to goaltending and Seguin's development. If we get unbelievable goaltending again, and Seguin takes a major step forward, I can see us repeating. The core of the Bruins is still very young so I think there will be a lot of guys that take another step forward this year.

Love that you knew who I was talking about. And the only way he gets shown on 24/7 is if they follow the AHL too.

No thanks. I'll stick with the Bruins, I hear they're pretty good.

I'm not sold on the Penguins this year. Yeah, I know, last season they had 103 points or something and they looked fine--but part of me believes that happened because the players knew their backs were against the wall with Crosby being out. Shero made some bold moves at the deadline and the Pens kept going, but in reality, they can't keep this up. Everyone is saying Malkin is going to be so great this season too, I'll believe it when I see it.

If Malkin goes like he seemed to be in the pre-season I think they can go far. When he cares he's great.

OK so surprises. Some have picked their "good" surprises in terms of a team who hasn't been good finishing hire than expected so who is your pick for that, many have said FLA and on the flip side what is your "bad" surprise? Who finishes lower than you'd normally expect? ie the Devils last year.

Re: NHL 2011/2012 Thread

I think the Lightning will be a bad surprise. I can see them barely sneaking into the playoffs as the 8 seed. I'm not sold on Roloson giving them another good year.

Re: NHL 2011/2012 Thread

You people are annoying as it is. The absolute last thing is more people talking about Patrick Kane.

In other news, Bucci's back! And sometimes it will be blogumns instead of vlogums, which makes me happy. Call me old fashioned or a luddite, but I prefer to read my interwbz content.
