But the Yankees have had recent success....the Habs, or even Leafs for that matter? Not so much. That's why I find it funny when they act like that. 21 years for the Habs and 100 for the Leafs.

ok, i guess a better comparison would've been pre-2004 red sox...annoying fans with a sense of entitlement

but they can sure "Ole" pretty loud!

Nothing like a bitter team adder. I'm sorry all your teams are already enjoying the off season :(

Pretty much the season for NY tonight. Win and they still have a chance. Lose and they will probably just lose four straight.

Hopefully even a little rest will allow for them to score a goal finally.

don't worry, every time the penguins have an opportunity to take control of a situation they usually squander it...hope i'm wrong tonight

Cut Becky some slack. I would be sick of Boston sports at this point too. Hard for some people to hide the bitter.

Moronic at best. But coach Q is infallible! Don't play 2 fast guys who have offensive upside against the team that tries to kill offense!

@sbaickerCSN "Hextall making it clear his goal is to build the Flyers from within - a different view from current "acquire the best guys via trade" method"

Well Holmgren's head just exploded.

Press conference was standard. Liked the reiteration multiple times that Hexy gets final say in decisions.

Edit: Yes, I changed my ish on the left.

Seems like there won't be any rash moves this off-season which is great news.

Agree.

Wouldn't mind if he could somehow get someone to take Hartnell or Streit (don't get me wrong, he played well but contract is a long term problem imo). But that was definitely a good quote to read.

Don't know why my multi-quote didn't work. Weird.

Anywho. I could totally see him flipping a table at draft day next month and beating down another GM in front of the home fans in Philly.

While I appreciate Hextall's proposed approach, I still don't like that the Flyers once again hired from within and kept Holmgren around. Definitely concerned that he'll just become another puppet for Snider to manipulate and nothing will change.

Streit is much needed, especially if Timonen doesn't come back. By the time Streit becomes old and useless hopefully Gus, Ghost, or even Alt can step in and help.

I'm onboard with moving Hartnell though. The guy has been terrible the past two seasons.

Wait, so...correct me if I'm wrong. Did Chiarelli just hold an impromptu press conference to complain about the refs and PK Subban?
