Big Phil was so good last night. His set up and Hagelin's goal was like a video game.

:lol I understand, I was staying by the airport, so that's as far as I was willing to go. It was definitely a good blue-collar crowd though.

yea the stat they showed last night had a minimum games played qualifier, which benn and panarin don't meet. they meet the qualifiers TLP listed though so should be included

In what Bizarro-World are you in that the Stars and the Hawks are both still in the playoffs?

More importantly, did the Caps choke in that one too? I imagine it must The Constant across all time and space.

Sorry, averaged more than 1 PPG

This was tweeted by NHL PR page last night.

I'm not talking about his point totals. You know me, I watch players. I initially thought Phil was getting a bad rap, so a couple seasons ago I started watching him closer, just to see if I could prove the naysayers wrong. Long story short, I couldn't. The guy was lazy, lethargic, not smart with the puck, never really in position. All those things where if you were looking at a stat sheet you'd never notice, but by watching it's very apparent. The ONLY time he'd put any sort of effort into anything was if he was sniffing for a goal. It was a sad, because you could see the talent was there and that he could go to a whole other level if he wanted to.

We're seeing that with him now. I mean, he's not Johnathan Toews or anything like that in terms of his all-around game. But he's skating hard in every zone, he's working corners, he's PASSING, he's making good decisions with the puck and without it. He's just playing smart, inspired hockey. He's playing to his potential, which I haven't seen him do on a consistent basis until these playoffs.

It is on nbcsports. Other than that, I am not sure.

Headed to a shootout. USA came very close to winning it in the finals seconds.

yea that's fair. i think a big thing is he doesn't have to be "the guy" in pittsburgh either. sure, he's still under a microscope, but if he sneezed the wrong way in Toronto he'd get buried by the media. it was a little bit of both probably

The Pens should use Shawn Michael's theme music as the goal song when the HBK line scores.

My mistake, I thought you meant active as in - still playing in the NHL. I get Panarin easy why he didn't make the cut but I thought Benn had played more than 20 playoff games, he is sitting at 19 now.
