I was always a defender in hockey so I rarely had many scoring chances except the occasional shot from the blue line. I just needed to be able to stop the other team hence the friction tape and sharp skates.

I do not care about the name of the thread but would prefer something generic like 'The Ice Hockey thread.'

Sorry to go off Olympic hockey, but Zetterberg to have surgery. Hopes to be back this season though...not sure about that one. So get Franzen and Weiss back and probably Pavel after the break, and no Hank out. So still have not played one game with everyone healthy.

Since the teams were announced, it was clear that the USA could not match up talent for talent against Canada. The US will have to want it more, play smart, and play harder than they ever have if they are going to win.
