Not the worst we've seen but yeah not good. The stadium series ones have for the most part not been good. I understand they do it for money but ugh.

The Flyers and WWE have a lot in common: the current product is sometimes unwatchable and they stop at nothing to remember the good ole days.

Yeah, I don't understand why they drop the ball so many times on these stadium series sweaters.

It seems like they're trying WAY too hard. The Winter Classic sweaters are clearly a "heritage/vintage" type, and they didn't seem to want to go that route. It seems like they're using the Stadium Series to be more "modern", I guess?

Not sure what meeting that was that the NHL decided that, but they're awful.

I mean, I get it. You want to be able to market a specialty sweater, but want to keep the Stadium Series separate from the WC...hence no vintage sweaters. It makes sense, it just seems like the NHL is constantly trying too hard with these.

Was swinging bye to post this. How awesome was that piece. Love me some Trotts.

I really hate the Habs. They just have our number. I knew we were gonna lose both games. They just own us. We'll be alright.

Catching up, I figured you guys (and gal) brought up the Hamonic stuff. I am so torn by it all. He has been a favorite of mine since he came up and cemented his favorite status they way he played vs. the Pens in that playoffs series a few years ago. I don't know what the family issue is but it is obviously very important to him. Unless he gets traded to the Jets, I just don't know how much time he can spend "home". He will still be on the road a ton. It breaks my heart that we will lose him eventually. I know he will play his butt off like has every game until a deal is done. I hope it is not a distraction in the room. I know it most likely isn't but how can it not be in the back of guys' minds. Shitty situation, for sure.

Yeah I get what they are doing but with all of it but I dunno. This year both the Wings and Avs ones will be good for the visually impaired with those huge numbers.

Also, maybe I'm just a grumpy old man, but I don't like these build ups to a reveal of a jersey.

Just show me the damn jersey and let me buy it if I like it. Jesus. Why is this so complicated? Have an official release announcement time? Give me a break.

Because it's fun and it's a smart way to build followers to your social media account. Stop being old.

I was being sarcastic, dawg.

Also, I actually REALLY like the Hawks Stadium Series sweaters.

Hawks ones look nice because they're not very busy. Still bold and impactful, but clean. I do feel like the Hawks aim for that and usually get it right.

Now if they go and do something stupid like wear white pants with them...

Darryl Reaugh is just the best. He goes "Double Benn-etration" on this. And it is a sick pass.

There is a couple here one in a Keith jersey and with Hossa. You know it's Wings and Bruins playing here right? I went to Toronto and watched Leafs and Sabres, I didn't wear a Wings jersey.

Well that fucking blew. Bruins had no business even getting to OT. I take the point and I can take the positives that they are 3-0-2 in their last 5 and are looking better but ugh.

Re: The NHL Thread

Smart move in terms of fantasy, not totally his fault last night though. Watching it there, didn't want to watch the replay when I got home, he probably should have had the tying goal. BUT his team needs to find a way to score with over 30 shots on net. One goal on a late PP that they had, would have ended it. Still, trying to stay positive that they've looked a lot better recently.
