On one hand, he made a dumb decision by granting power of attorney to his mom and dad.

On the other hand, you'd like to think you can trust your own parents.

Because he placed his life in the hands of the people he trusted the most that raised him and they totally fucked him over?

Pretty easy to feel bad for him. Horrible situation.

Yup. Hoping something comes outta the league that they suspended without pay. Cap hell is going to continue.

I mean, I kinda get it, but I don't understand penalizing the team for his wrong doing. Give them some cap relief.

nice to see the legion of doom back together again. Those were some great times in the '90's. Really defines my love for hockey. And it was all three. LeClair with his howizter of a slapshot, Lindros built like a tank, and Renberg who had great speed and two-way play.

Matty, as a defenseman, I'm sure you can empathize with this one...

Rough couple seconds there for Shattenkirk. Turn over the puck, knock over your goalie, other team scores easy.

That's how it's supposed to be done...right?

As a d-man, your heart just breaks for the guy.

I don't know what it is about d-men and clearing it up the middle. It's one of the very first things you learn about playing it in your own zone: Don't clear it up the middle.

But guess what? We ALWAYS think we can. And guess what? The ONE time we think we can do it safely, it bites us in the butt.

Clear it up the boards, kids. Every time.

I feel horrible for Jack Johnson. It is a terrible story that won't get better for years. It would be nice if the players could get together and put a little fund together for him.

That said, I am pumped and excited for the home n home with the Penguins. It will be a good test.

This is the most important part. ALWAYS. That's the best part about it. You can literally see his thought process.

So Ovie's GWG from last night was his most flamboyant in a couple years. So good even ESPN gave it #1 play love.

Yep. And there's always that voice of your pee wee coach in your head going, "don't do it... don't clear it up the middle"... and you still do it! :lol

I was listening the NHL radio for a few minutes today, what's going on? All I heard was that the team didn't salute the fans after the game.

~Crashintome89~ 11-21-2014 02:00 PM

Re: The NHL Thread

yeah after the buzzer, apparently kessel went to phaneuf and told him that they're not going to salute because the fans have been atrocious the past week. Good for them.

Big win baby. Playing for first place tomorrow if we can win in regulation. Stuff was let go on both sides and it was nice to see the guys just play with no parades to the box. It was a fun game.

The funniest (I don't think that's the right word but I can't think of a better one) part about the whole thing...the NHLPA was the hold up on the cap situation, not the NHL or the Kings.

Was at the Miami/western Michigan game tonight. Going to the one tomorrow too. Was a lot of fun
