Is that because Boston sports fans are involved in it?

Seems like that might trigger the sensitivity.

This thread does seem to have a lot of Patriots and Red Sox players in it

Doubtful, I recall in 2013 when the Hawks clinched in Boston the place was still packed with admittedly stunned fans but they were classy and I am guessing even if your team loses you would want to see a Cup presentation.

Yeah, then NBCSN went to some show I have never heard of after about 20 minutes and I had to watch the rest of the postgame on the NHL network!

It is cool the first time you do it (sort of like New Years even i Times Square) but after a while you realize it is just too damn packed, not and obnoxious. I went to the Yanks parade in 1996 and vowed never to return to a sports parade.

I'm so proud of this team, the dirtiest team ever in Stanley Cup Finals history. Play Fucking Gloria.

Yeah he did, he stood tall as hell in the first before they took over. Was also great to see the mental blunder by marchand (heading to the bench with 10 seconds left) lead to that breakaway goal with 8 seconds left that made it 2-0!

Now I can finally quit hearing about how dirty' the Blues are too! :lol

This is hardly something that is isolated to STL though, every city has people who all of a sudden become 'die hard' fans but wouldn't know Kane from Crosby let alone guys who are not stars/

Yup, I started being a big fan in 1983 and suffered 14 years of misery as a Whalers fan, chose the Hawks and had to wait another 13 years to see a team of mine win a Cup!

This, as fans we are invested so to speak - if people like us did not buy tickets, merchandise, memorabilia, etc, etc the teams would lose a big chunk of change and end up putting up a team as bad as the Sens!

Yup, it was Elliot they cut to give the #1 to Allen and look how that worked out. As for Binninghton, I would likely give him an offer sheet. He has weaknesses that players will read up on and exploit or worse he could pull a Jake Allen! No sense in locking up a guy long term who has so little NHL experience regardless of how well he played in a small sample size.

Yeah, last year I was saying 162-0 and this team is better. Logically that means weíre going 163-0. Iím aware the season is only 162 games.

But at this rate weíll probably have to play a playoff game with Tampa anyway. Fucking assholes wonít go away.

Sox going on months without winning a championship. Yankees going on a decade. Think we are fine.

Meh, I have my Hawks (3X) in the past decade, the US women's National soccer team I have always followed has been damn good in the past decade (a WC and a few Gold medals - plus dozens of tournament championships) and Yankee memories that will last a lifetime so I am relatively content with the sports world. Basketball bores me so I don't even bother to pretend caring about who wins - course then there is my Raiders........ UGH :lol

All I really need is a Notre Dame national title at an age I can remember it (so not 3 like I was at their last one) and I can die a happy sports fan.

I'm not going to die a happy sports fan.

Yankee fans are now turning to US soccer to see some sports success. You really hate to see that.
